Reports that Itauma reportedly going to take Okolie over Gassiev

Okolie is a much tougher stylistic match up for Itauma than Gassiev. Its a step up from Franklin, and will frustrate Itauma.

Itauma will still defo beat Okolie widely but it could go points as Okolie will just hug all fight and do his weird nonsense.

Gassiev isn't anywhere as good at HW than he is at CW. He just is so limited.

 

I don’t see much difference in fighting okolie or gassiev, its not something to lose my mind over. Okolie is with the same promotion so I think that’s why they going down that route. He needs rounds more than anything, and okolie will give him that

 

What am I missing? Gassiev seems at the moment like a mediocre otherwise run of the mill fighter who has a big punch. Okolie is an awkward octopus who has a big punch.

Tbh, this era is pretty much over. Okolie being a bigger threat than Gassiev and beating him would be par for the course, not that i favor him to do so

 

Whats with people here rating Okolie? He is one of the worst fighters I have seen. Sloppy, no balance, no skills , clincher, complete domestic bum. Gassiev can at least crack and has decent technique.

You yourself said Gassiev is not what he once was and riddled with injuries. Okolie is a late starter, likely still in his prime, perhaps he has improved. I think the odds are dead even at heavyweight

 

Doesn't bother me either way.

Gassiev might end up with a bigger pay day vs Joshua or someone.

 

A shot 44 yo Pulev is noteworthy ? Most aren't seeing what you are seeing. He is mandated to fight Okolie for a final eliminator and that one is probably easier to make
