You can't duck someone who hasn't earned a shot.

Usyk should just retire after Wilder honestly.
It perfectly just closes the book on this are that started when Wlad lost years ago.
If Usyk wants to fight. He is 40, he is gonna lose if he fights anyone worth their salt after Wilder for too long. I don't care how good you are. You are 40 years old

Thats a bit easy for me . So just declare nobody earned a shot and you do not need to fight legit contenders at all ? Current version of wilder earned the shot more than itauma , wardley or kabayel ? I do not think so .

Nothing to do with Wilder, Mr. Fury. This is about Itauma.

He does have a point though. Wilder has done absolutely nothing to warrant a fight with Usyk, neither has Itauma.

Hell, I'd go as far to say that about Kabayel too. In my eyes the only bloke worthy of a shot at the moment is Wardley of all people.

But at the end of the dead, he's not "ducking" Itauma. Maybe Warldley, but not Itauma.

People giving Usyk too much of a pass for ducking Wardley, Kabayel, Parker ......... to fight Wilder (if that occurs). Terrible.

But, no, he's not ducking Itauma, who just isn't a proven contender.

If Itauma can beat a few big names, he would become a credible contender. At the moment, he is unproven and hasn't earned his shot at the titles.

Itauma turned down an eliminator against Sanchez, they’re obviously going to take their time and not rush into a fight with Usyk. So yeah this fight will probably never happen.

Wild take. Itauma is still a young pup learning the ropes.

Wilder has name value for his CV in Uysks eyes
The money will be decent and it ticks a box for him

Sure Wilder is washed, but the history books won't state that when looked back upon

Itauma has very little to offer at this point

I think they will. People look at records all the time now. Everyone will notice he lost 4 of his last 6 fights, and many will notice he didn't beat a contender in years.

Also, most likely history will forget he whole over-hyped "three kings" nonsense (Fury, AJ and Wilder) and rate them as also-rans and historically average or soft paper champions (although Fury might get a little more respect, AJ too ..... Wilder a mere footnote, his claim to fame mainly losing to Fury, if he is lucky).

Would be more interested in seeing him against Itauma than anyone else
