Gift victory from the judges over a well past prime GGG. One of Canelo's better fights in terms of opponent quality and his performance, but relies on his chin and judges, not outboxing.

Correct yet the only argument canelo fan boys use for not being in his prime was his age. So why wasn't canelo in his prime at 23? what did he lack? He looked way better at 154 than the 168 plodder.

He barely beat anyone good at 154, many people thought he lost to Lara. That was the only really good scalp that was top-tier at 154.

He looked great at 154 because he was beating a bunch of clowns.

Who was the best fighter he beat at 168? Plant? You can't judge a fighter with your eyes enough to see how much better he fought at 154/160?

Compared to Crawford, he’s sluggish and slow. While Canelo manages to throw two punches, Crawford fires off six—and at least three of them land, leaving Canelo dazed. Crawford’s superior speed and movement mean he would beat a prime Golovkin the same way.

Eh I know, he definitely had too many advantages over his peers but it's the nature of the sport itself not being fair I guess

The bar is so high on this forum, Canelo cleaned up 168 on more than one occasion, has some great wins against solid names, and should be an automatic for the HOF. The main issue is the clenbuterol business, which is a huge stain on his legacy. If it were up to me, I wouldn't allow him in on that alone, but to proclaim his career was some failure is insane. He made an absolute fortune and beat multiple HOF names.
