    Alvarado looked in pretty darn good shape at the weigh in. Could be a late FOTY candidate.

    Come to think of it, Masamichi Yabuki and Masanori Rikiishi may very well be my favorite brother duo in the sport currently.:deal:

    Yabuki off to a good start with some vicious counter punching.

    Alvarado landed the occasional right hand down the pipe, and a few good body jabs. Turned it into a bit of a brawl in the last minute.

    No feeling out here, Felix immediately bringing the heat an Yabuki nailing him with heavy counter rights and thudding jabs. Felix landed to the body, but not enough.

    Round 2 Yabuki 10-9

    Yabuki landing vicious left hooks to the body, then knocks the mouthguard of Felix's out, with a looping hook. Felix marching forward into a barrage of heavy one twos. They're exchanging hooks, both shook each other up a little. Yabuki more defensively responsible. Yabuki lading chopping right crosses to the side and back of Felix's head as he's bending over.

    Yabuki starts the second round a bit slower, landing fewer counters. Round is pretty even until the final minute, when Yabuki starts landing counters up and down on the advancing Alvarado.

    Yabuki 20-18

    Alvarado a bit predictable with the right hand counter. Yabuki with the upper hand in most exchanges of the fight. Alvarado had a decent final minute, and is starting to sense Yabuki's speed and punches.

    Those left hooks to the liver from Yabuki look nasty, he opened the second round by landing one and it seemed like Alvarado took a second to analyze his approach.
