Do people really think AJ can compete with the Fury who showed up against Usyk?

Do people really think we will ever see that Fury again? Of course they don't. Fury is mentally ill, abuses his body and has discipline issues. He will never be the man he was then again, Father time is undefeated.

see how easy it is to do this with two guys who have underperformed multiple times.

 

That Fury is gone forever. Late thirties, you stop being able to get back in shape if you let it go.

 

I do not care, at all, about Tyson Fury, Anthohny Joshua, or Deontay Wilder. The dominated a dreadful HW era, marked with long stretches of inactivity and fights against nobodies. Their time is over, thank god.

 

It is conjecture. That version of Fury is gone forever, just like the version of Fury from last week. Styles make fights.

Middleweight Usyk nearly put Fury out. If Joshua turns up in his best form aswell then it's entirely reasonable that he can finish the job.

 

AJ probably is stupid enough to schedule a fight with Tyson Fury. Here is how that would play out: the fight would likely be set for the second half of next year, as AJ is about to turn 37. Tyson Fury will do what he so often does: engage in endless, boring trash talk, participate in a bunch of press conferences with fake-drama face-offs, stare downs, and threats to attack AJ on the spot, and then, at the last minute, pull out. That would leave AJ's career in tatters. He would approach age 37 without having beaten a credible opponent who wasn't 39-40 years old since 2018, in a VERY questionable fight with Joseph Parker. Tyson Fury would love to end AJ's career without having to throw a punch, which is exactly what he did with Waldimir Klitschko.

 

Tbf if AJ fought that version of Usyk he wouldn't have lasted 4 rounds. Usyk has really grown into his power as of late.

Fury's punch resistance has been worn to a nub. Much is made of his supposed chin, but it's confused with his recovering abilities. He's always been easy to hit, hurt, buzz and drop. But he always would recover well.

Though this has changed as of late.

He physically cannot move like he used to, and the Usyk fights showed he cannot recover like he used to and is is very tentative if he feels he's in danger. I Agree with you; if Joshua can land on him and make him fight all 3 minutes, he could get Fury out of there.
