This went way over your head.

Leonard didn’t move up in weight and give away weight like Floyd did to a prime Canelo for the Hagler fight.

Pacquiao was the best fighter pfp other than himself when Floyd fought him at age 38. I have Pacquiao about one spot ahead of Duran all time.

Corrales was a tall, undefeated, champion weigh big power who was pfp top 5. The Hearns comparison makes sense and only Floyd dealt with him at 130.

I’ll ask again, which fighter out there matches up as equally with Leonard’s top wins in terms of caliber, styles, etc.?

He was literally caught with an IV in his arm.

But the bigger boxer doesn't always win. Usyk, Holyfield, Tyson, Dempsey and many others overcame big size and weight disadvantages. Anything over 200lb these days is a heavyweight. RJJ was a middleweight who won the heavyweight title...

Floyd gave away a load of weight against Canelo... Boxing history is full of lighter guys going up against naturally bigger men and winning

Why compare Leonard-Hagler and Floyd-Canelo? The circumstances of the fights are totally different.

TUE and saline isn’t a drug.

The fact that Leonard has wins over Hagler, Hearns, Duran and Benetiz I can’t see how you could put Mayweather above him. Those 4 wins are ridiculous compared to Mayweather’s best wins. That’s the quick and easy answer to the question.

You clearly don't understand why saline is sometimes used, but go ahead, believe he was dehydrated enough to require an IV....

I can't call any of these "modern" boxers the greatest ever. When you look at boxers from 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, etc. fighting every week, or twice a month, champions fighting a dozen times a year, contenders fighting each other all the time. 10, 15, 20 rounds a time.
It was brutal and it won't be happening again but they deserve to be remembered as greater for it.

    These are terrible comparisons.

We have weight divisions for a reason.

No knowledgeable fan has ever questioned this before.

I’m not sure why you are.

    You are utterly delusional.

“”Hey Corrales was tall too. So he was just like Hearns”

    How many more times??

The saline is used to flush out a cycle of PEDS.

It’s why it’s banned by both WADA and VADA.

If that wasn’t bad enough, go and look at his fight contract with USADA.

It literally had a retroactive TUE written into it, so he could retroactively use it if anything happened.

    Unbelievable.

Then USADA, the commission that let him use that, also have a clause in their own contract, that states that any findings, don’t immediately have to be reported.

    WTF??

Which meant that they didn’t report it to the NSAC, until 3 weeks AFTER the fight.

    You couldn’t make it up.

    It was scandalous.

This is the one thing that precludes Mayweather from being in the GOAT conversation. He does not have wins over other elite fighters in their prime, I'd argue with the possible exception of Canelo who was on a tear and was not a green, inexperienced fighter as many make him out to be. Fighters like Leonard, Robinson, Ali, Hagler etc will always be considered the level above Floyd because of who they fought, never mind beat.

But...would anyone here place money with any degree of confidence that Duran, Hearns and Leonard would have beaten Floyd comfortably at the lighter weights they started at...?

Duran beats the May that struggled with Castillo.

Leonard that beat Hearns beats the Mayweather that fought at 147 lbs with relatively low punch output.

Hearns at 147 that faced Leonard doesn't get stopped by Mayweather. He might make Tommy miss more than Ray did but he is getting tagged and with his hand troubles doesn't carry the power to get to Hearns like Ray did.
