Surely it's time for Tony Yoka vs Joe Joyce. Both are with Frank Warren, and it was talked about about a year ago but then nothing since. That'd be the perfect fight. Needs to happen after those corrupt judges at the Olympics.
Yeah, that's a great fight. Because Joyce is clearly on the downside, it adds some intrigue to the proceedings -- but even today's diminished Joyce shatters Joka's super-fragile mandible
Yoka is being built back up for one last roll of the dice from the look of things. Can't say I blame him or his handlers. Division will be wide open again in a year or two whenever Usyk decides to call it a day. At 33 it's not the worst move for guys like him to stay in the game and wait to see what happens.
No question. But he's still an Olympic gold medalist from a boxing desert and isn't ancient so he still has more money behind him than most. I have a feeling when the belts splinter off again you'll see figures in the HW division like him involved.
The only thing of significance Joka's gonna be involved in is taking canvas naps against live bodies!
