The dude has never fought anybody who’s anywhere near the top 10 p4p yet they compare him to people like Crawford, Hayne or Bivol, who have all faced and beaten fighters who were in Ring Magazine’s top 10 P4P list.

If we are gonna say Inoue is the best p4p boxer cause he beat Fulton Jr, who was the best in his weight class, then we have to say Crawford was the number one p4p when he beat Indongo, who was certainly the best fighter in Crawford’s weight class.

From what I’ve seen, Davis and Bam Rodriguez would easily expose him but he does not seem interested in those fights at all.

-Beat 2 divisional #1s at the time he beat them (Narvaez, Fulton)
-Beat 1 future divisional #1 at the time he beat them (Taguchi)
-Beat 5 fighters considered the best besides Inoue in the division by most (Tapales, Nery, Akhmadaliev, Donaire, Donaire II)
-Beat 7 contenders at 118, beat the fighters widely considered the best besides Casimero
    -Beat 7 contenders at 122
-Beat 5 of the 6 best resume fighters at 122 since he’s been in the division (top 6: Junto, Nery, Fulton, Akhmadaliev, Tapales, Picasso)
    -16-0 (13 KO) vs champions
-Knockout artist at world level over 5 divisions
-#2 all time title fight KOs (21. Behind Joe Louis at 22)
    -25-0 in title fights
-Longest title fight KO streak in many years (11, above beterbiev and Bud who had 9)

Fulton was a fringe top 10 P4P guy for me. He was the clear top guy with a good resume and Inoue totally dominated him. Then beat the next best guys in Tapales and MJ. He's a 4 weight champion and a 2 weight undisputed champion. He's the most active of any of the current P4P top 10 and consistently defends against top 10 guys at his weight.
With Crawford being retired I don't see anyone above him right now. Bivol is too inactive. Usyk is also too inactive and his one fight this year was against a guy he'd already beaten.
Inoue is a pretty clear number 1 imo.

People are still talking about Davis (who is 3 divisions above) after his embarrassing fight against Roach and then slapped a woman around?

I feel like this is 2022 all over again.

Inoue defended his title 4 times this year against the best available fighters in his division... the first time anyone has done it since Larry Holmes did it 45 years ago.

Inoue has done everything he could, literally stopping almost every top ranked opp in his weight classes.

Unfortunately, there just aren’t any standout fighters besides old-man Nonito on his resume… but he’s doing his best to seek out challenges and bombing out everyone in his way….

Usyk is -really- p4p number one, but he only fought one time this year… so its fair to give it to the work horse if we’re doing a “of the year” thing.

Bam would be beaten to death, the little four eyed twerp has done nothing but beat up pensioners and drug up guys even smaller than him. I'm tired of seeing his name mentioned in the same goddamn breath as Inoue's, and anyone who does is a moronic casual who easily buys into orchestrated hype. Tank Davis is a light welterweight you ****ing idiot, everyone at light welterweight beats Inoue, because it's four divisions north of where he's at now, which is four divisions North from where he started.

This has to be trolling. There’s no way someone can seriously put Devin ****ing Haney, who got whooped by limited Ryan Garcia, P4P above Naoya Inoue

Ah yes... he beat Sor Rungvisai in his 57th match at the age of 35, 5 years after he KO'd your boyfriend. Thank you for backing up and validating my point, he preys on horribly shot, old men, has been pensioners, well past their sell by date. Sor Rungvisai has been on a bum of the month circuit back in Thailand since his abortion of a rematch where he idiotically chose to fight orthodox against Estrada who he beat as a southpaw. So it wasn't like he'd been facing the stiffest of competition. He couldn't even stop that worthless fragile fat drunk Amnat Ruenroeng. Recently he lost pretty wide to some young Japanese no hoper named Kaito Yamasaki. So... shove Bam up your bum.:deal:

I'm not a big Inoue fan but he hits way too hard for Bam, who is a skinny kid in comparison. Just too big and strong for him.

Inoue is a great fighter but he simply doesnt have fighters on his level right now. With that said id pick a prime donaire rigo and loma to beat him in a fantasy match up.

He beat buttler, Moloney, Mcdonell hardly anyone remarkable.Narvaez was 42 yrs old and Donaire was past it and was thrown around the circuit of up and comers to have a good name on their resume.I still like a reevaluation on him and the claim for atg.Don’t you have to beat greats to be greats.Like Hagler v hearns.Leonard and Duran.I just don’t see anyone at all.Nery and Akma are qty wins though.

Trying to explain this if you have blinkers on will be impossible. I will summarise the key points:
    1. His resume is much better than Crawford. This is not even debatable.
    2. Usyk is the only other potential p4p#1. I find it difficult to differentiate.
    3. There are very few well known fighters at lower weight classes, so Inoue fought a murderer's row at about 3 to 4 fights a year while Crawford and Canelo for example, fought 1, sometimes 2, easy fights a year as the A-side.
    4. Inoue is dominating and knocking out guys like Madrimov, not getting gift decisions.

    "from what you've seen", YDKSAB.

PS Canelo KOing GGG would have been on the same level as some of Inoue's wins, instead of Canelo getting dominated and then given a gift decision.

It's a marketing gimmick. A way of keeping the lower weights relevant.
