Do people really think AJ can compete with the Fury who showed up against Usyk?

The last time Fury looked good was Wilder II (February 2020). Before that, probably 2015 or 2014.

At the end of the day Fury has only lost twice to Usyk, and didn't get starched out in 5 rounds by Dubios. There's a clear gulf of skill between the two.

If they were to fight, there's a chance AJ lands a peach of a shot I guess. But it also took AJ 6 rounds to KO an amature cruiserweight, so I don't expect that to happen tbh.

it’s an interesting matchup in a way. One guy who is 100% disciplined physically, but in ring is questionable. One guy who, in a ring, is 100% disciplined mentally, but who outside is likely to be a drunk fatass.

But we are far more likely to see a good version of AJ than Fury.

 

For all the talk of Joshua's punch resistance he was never knocked down in 24 rounds against Usyk.

I also think it's silly to be so confident basing it off Fury losing 2 fights keyword here being "losing".

Betting on someone for losing performances isn't the best recipe for success.

 

Given the double-fatality car accident AJ was involved in, roughly 24 hours ago, his boxing career is probably over. The decedents were members of his training staff, and he himself has been hospitalized with injuries. Hell of a way to end a career.
