Why is Mayweather not the greatest of all time?

The only possible advantage I could see Mayweather gaining given the way he boxed was the ability to train harder. I don’t see training as a problem for Mayweather.

They do, but typically administered by a medical professional in an appropriate environment/setting.

Getting it done in your home without the knowledge of the relevant body, only advising post-IV and with restrospective permission doesn't seem be done innocently.

I agree. Very suspicious circumstances. lol Maybe I am just trying to justify something that is unjustifiable.

I get it - I also don't think Floyd needed to do such things but I'm also mindful of the harsh realities of elite competition.

A man so clearly superior to the likes of Marquez but makes him fight at a catch-weight and doesn't even make weight screams loudly.

After what happened with Lance Armstrong and after Ubereem, I expect everybody to be doing something until proven innocent. Put it like this, if it came out that Usain was on some programme I would shrug my shoulders and say yeurrrgkh, so be it so be it.

A drink does the same thing.

That was his first fight back after a layoff. That’s why his weight was off.

But not if you desperately want to discredit him.

I also suspect he got the go ahead from USADA before doing it, but they made it official afterward because it was the middle of the night.

    It’s called diarrhea.

Maybe he had a little IBS on the eve of his legacy fight.

But it’s not routine for a fighter like Floyd to have an IV the day before a fight.

It’s not comparable to what you’re talking about.

A drink would have been the first port of call.

Look, you can’t have it both ways.

Just a few days ago, you were telling me what weights Floyd would have fought at back in the 70’s and 80’s, and emphasising how great his conditioning was and how he never had weight issues.

That was a few days ago.

Yet here we are, where you don’t find it odd that he took an illegal IV in his own home, for severe dehydration.

Again, he can’t have been severely dehydrated to the point of needing that.

He deliberately cheated him on the scales.

They made it official afterwards, because it was the middle of the night??

    Are you for real??

USADA made it official, THREE WEEKS AFTER it had happened.

    That wasn’t one day later.

    It was 21 days later.

    You’re unbelievable.

Floyd could go on a murderous rampage, shooting and killing 10 people.

Yet the following day, you’d be on here saying:

“The 10 guys were at fault for getting in the way of the bullets that Floyd had accidentally fired”

    You’re something else.

Or maybe, just maybe, he flushed out a cycle of PEDS.

Has this not occurred to you?

The man you’re talking about is hardly a stand up guy is he?

    He hits women.

He racially abused and slandered Manny for years.

Enforced unnecessary catch-weights, and even broke them.

Why would you be so shocked if he’d have taken PEDS??

The right PEDs can increase strength, power, speed, stamina and endurance to beyond what is possible without them.

There isn't a boxer in history whose performance would not benefit as a result of improving those attributes.

There was no logical reason for that illegal IV other than flush PEDs. Anything else is just fandom talking.
