Carlos Zarate had a few that were absolutely diabolical. He actually defended against Juan Francisco Rodriguez (8-1-1), Emilio Hernandez (4-4) and Mensah Kpalago (1-4). For someone so destructive prior to winning the title, he should have only been defending against the best.
Holmes had a number of softly chosen defenses. Evangelista and Zanon were easy beats. Leroy Jones hadn't beaten anyone. LeDoux had won 1 fight of his past 4. Rodriguez was more Euro filler, Scott Frank was terrible. It gets brushes over now because he gav ehim the fight of his life but Weaver was supposed to be an easy beat. He was 19-8. It may have been the fight they didn't even set odds on and most didn't know him. Against all odds it turned into a contender for FOTY and was Weavers coming out party.
Don't besmirch The Mallard. Anyways - it's clearly out of Louis, Ali, Lennox or Usyk. Rademacher or the Leon Spinks defence is probably the right answer.

Back in 1975 Muhammad Ali had Ron Lyle coming off a one-sided loss to Jimmy Young. Usyk's talking about fighting Wilder next! That would take the prize, as far a heavyweights go.
Topped by Ali vs Leon Spinks, with Spinks winning. This fight was suppose to go like Floyd Patterson vs Pete Rademacher, but Leon spoled the party.

McCoy was a title claimant at LHW back in 1935. Still he was one of Louis's worst defenses. The "Bum of the month" club were almost all highly deserving of that shot. Musto, Paycheck and Jack Roper were the only 3 who could be characterized as "easy" defenses. Dorazio beat McCoy and Bob Pastor and hes probably next worst.
