Yeah, he probably wants Andy Ruiz after Wilder since he messaged him on social media. This is definitely a weird time to try and conquer America, but I assume he's been watching Ring Magazine with Max Kellerman downplaying Usyk's legacy at heavyweight. Arreola suggested Usyk should fight Ruiz in an episode, and shortly thereafter Usyk contacted Ruiz.

Wilder is washed and everyone here right now knows it but in 30 years time when people look back at Usyk's legacy they'll read "Long ago, in the year 2020 there were three giants in the Heavyweight division, and one man smote them all."

Then there will be some new tards on this forum trying to argue that Wilder really was a great win and completely ignore the context of the win as happens with many legends on here already.

He was getting noticeably rocked with jabs in his last fight
Uysk would stop him with little issue

Usyk vs Wilder then Torrez , Anderson or Ruiz I'd imagine.

Maybe the Kabayel fight could still happen in the USA

Calling it ducking is absurd. No fighter can fight everybody. Even if he did, fans would name more fighters.

Why not just complete the one-man destruction of the entire Brit heavyweight scene by beating Wardley and Ituama?

Oh, I know why. That **** will be hard. Beating Wilder won't be. You know somewhere right now Ruiz is like "hey man, i'm here too, former champ and all, 'Murica **** yeah, can I get a shot too?"

Put the crack pipe down son. Why do you think Canelo fights in the US and not Mexico? Why are most of the big P4P names American? Did you see the absud view numbers for AJ-Paul? Where do the majority of PPV buys STILL come from?

I mean, I don't think it would be as hard as all that, but it would be the preferable route. Kabayel would be the toughest fight out there, imo.

Then what is the point? What American promotor is going to get Wardley over here when he could be fighting in Wembley?

    Wardley´s promoter? PBC?

You might not know this, but PBC does really, really well at the box office in Las Vegas. They have it on lock. So when you think that it makes sense to put Usyk in Wembley against someone like Wardley, in reality it might make more financial sense to put them in Las Vegas.
PBC cards regularly pull in well over $10 million at the live gate in Vegas. The largest live gate I could find for a UK fight was Fury vs Whyte at $15 million.

Or Usyk fights Wilder, they realize that there is no market for more Usyk fights in the US and Usyk moves onto wherever he can make the most money next.

Usyk has transcended the sport. There's a market for him anywhere.

I personally think so too. I recall his fight with Bellew doing surprisingly good numbers at the time, and his fights with Joshua are in Joshua´s top 5 in terms of revenue.

I think Usyk will do really well in the US, especially if he fights Wilder and smashes him to bits. I hate to say it, but its a marketable fight and has casual appeal.

He’s such a good public figure and role model. Often people say that athletes or actors shouldn’t be role models. Usyk is one, and the best kind. Accomplished the highest heights of his chosen sport, dedicated in the gym, pure focus in the ring, consummate sportsman to opponents, respectful to everyone, dedicated family man, deeply religious without being preachy. You couldn’t create a more positive role model, a better example of positive masculinity.

And that’s why he transcends. I want to watch him fight because it’s him.

I sometimes think that even a lot of good an knowledgeable fans on here don't realize that America has 348 million people. Outside of China and India, it is the most populous country in the world. And whereas boxing is not mainstream here anymore, even on the fringes--the old timers like me, the Mexican fans--the market i absolutely huge if properly tapped.
