AJ had the potential to be just as good as Wlad as far as the physical aspects go. Wlad's ring IQ, determination, and relationship with Steward puts him at a much higher level though.

 

No they actually fought eachother more snd there were more punchers in the 80s which is a reflection of the talent pool

 

Even the Wlad who fought Monte Barrett should smoke AJ within 6 rounds just using his jab... and the AJ fight was almost 17 years (!) after that one.

 

Nah. All Steward did was teach Wlad (who was regularly have trouble with sub par opposition) to lay across the back of his usually smaller opponents until they were exhausted and then he could KO them. AJ was too big to lay across so Wlad had no way to win and got stopped. Again.

 

Brewster and Sanders would stop Joshua, Puritty would also have a chance to knock out Joshua...
