    Interesting match up. I think it's 50/50.

Rahman actually has a significantly better resume. Wins over Sanders, Lewis and drew with Tua and Toney. but stylistically I'm not sure how he'd handle Quarry, he seems tailor made for Quarry

Rahman TKO 10. Quarry doesn't have the chin to keep Rahman off him. It would be interesting, but I think Rahman's reach helps him control the distance here to eventually break down Jerry.

What does Rahman have to trouble Quarry, aside from a size advantage?

I think just Chuvalo, and Quarry sprang right up after milking the count like a soldier who "cooked" a grenade too long.

I can't remember off the top of my head if Frazier stopped him on anything other than cuts in either fight.

Tough fight to call imo. Quarry was the more skilled guy for sure and took out some heavy handed heavyweights in his era with Shavers,Lyle and Mathis being guys that compare to Rahman's size the most. With that said, Quarry cut pretty easy and could very well get caught by the powerful Rahman who may have lacked on amatuer background and skill but he had natural ability and was one of tue strongest heavyweights ever.

If I had to pick, I think I'm taking the excellent counter punching Quarry but I would like to see him come in a little heavier than his normal fighting weight in the 70's. With modern training, I bet he could be a solid 215 pound guy with would help him significantly against Rahman.

Quarry has a chance here but it's not easy or clear cut.

Nice big target, like many others slain by Quarry. Wonder if Rahman would “fall awkwardly,” as Jerry described Jack Bodell’s quick despatch!

The key is Rahman's jab. While it isn't an ATG jab it was very long and forceful. I don't think Jerry would be able to counter much. On top of that Rahman was much bigger than Jerry.

I agree Rahman's jab was his best weapon for sure. Jerry typically struggled with speed or superior boxers but he excelled against larger/slower punchers. I'm not convinced that he could handle the size and strength of Rahman but I am positive he would give Rahman a very tough fight unless he got cut and I could see him making Rahman look stupid at times just like James Toney did. Quarry was no joke.

Big time power, a jab and strength. He was actually quite a good boxer himself.
