So, uh, have you bros been following American casual-ish boxing media? They just discovered AJ and ****ing love him. This is going to make him want to fight in the US again, which Fury cannot do (somehow got himself banned from the US). If the Fury fight doesn't happen, AJ is going to do something like fight (and obliterate) Jared Anderson in the US.

 

Joshua can retire today. He is worth more than 200 millions. He won’t cause he just can stay away from the spot light. He will never be on top again and any heavyweight that can punch will be dangerous for him. So were does he go from here? Lots of give me fight or a payday against Fury is it.

If this is the outcome of that damned Fight against Jake Paul and americans start praising shot Joshua that would be embarassing. And annoying to have to endure people hyping Joshua after his career when he is over the hill.

I would say that his earnings against Paul came as icing on the cake and that after the accident he should retire because there is no need for fights anymore.

 

Either he won't fight again or we will see AJ's villain arc in boxing.

 

Nah I don't think so but it could either spur him on in their honour or seal the deal for retirement. AJ is a human being, this'll hit him hard - losing your best mates. I wouldn't like to be in his position, the guilt and sadness must be overwhelming for him. RIP to the 2 lads lost, and chinup AJ, we luv ya matey.

 

I hope so, because he doesn't get the credit he deserves, and he needs one more good run. I understand that this is not important to him at the moment, but someday, it will be again. It could even be part of his healing process.

I don't honestly believe we've ever seen Joshua recover mentally after Ruiz Jr. He certainly didn't correct his mistakes long term.

In his first match against Ruiz he gave up his reach advantage to a man with T-rex arms, got close, traded trying to finish Ruiz and got clipped. He fixed it in the second fight but went back to do the same thing later.

Had Dubois hurt, moved in instead of using his range and threw the uppercut out of position with no lead into it and got dropped.

Joshua didn't really adapt the Wlad cautious jab and grab style to prolong his career.

 

He's a great athlete and a terrible fighter, with a million dollar body and ten-cent instincts.

Ironically, Fury is sort-of the opposite, although in fairness, Fury's combo of size and mobility is a physical gift.
