Deontay should roll the dice against Gassiev.

If he beats him, he can sit on the belt, picking the weakest possible opponents on the WBA ladder. When Usyk retires, Wilder is elevated to full champion! Making him a two time champion, just like Fury and Joshua, and giving him a sure fire golden ticket to the HOF

It's Christmas! Time to be charitable

Much more intriguing fight than him vs Usyk, for which the outcome is a foregone conclusion.

Unlike others, I think this Wilder's chances against Gassiev would come down to his legs. I didn't see his last fight against the journeyman but the one from the Parker fight with Malik Scott gameplan could outpoint Murat.

Very confused. Wilder seemingly has big money in a Usyk fight and he wants a tune-up against an opponent that likely beats/spoils?

Wilder has always surrounded himself with morons.

Decent fight much more interesting than Usyk vs Wilder.

I'd give Wilder about a 20% chance to pull it off against Gassiev. No way this happens.

I want Wilder vs Usyk first.
And then make Wilder vs Gassiev.
And **** it, top it off with Wilder vs Fury IV.

Wilder recently stated that he intends to fight for another 10 years, and I hope every year he gets fed to someone dangerous! I want to see him flattened over and over again.

I don't think he had himself in mind for that body on his record

    Wilder's top 5:

Ortiz 1, Ortiz 2, Stiverne 1, Helenius, Duhaupas

    Haye's top 5:

Chisora, Valuev (final fight), J. Ruiz (final fight), Barrett, Harrison

Haye of course was stopped by 40+ former LHW Thompson prior to losing to Wlad, whereas Wilder had the (controversial or not) Fury draw (and Haye wouldn't even fight Fury). Wilder was on the cusp of 38 with two KO defeats in his last three fights when he lost to Parker, a shell of himself. He'd had six fights against Ring ranked HW's at this point, two against Ring's No.1. Haye also had worse late career losses, x2 to Bellew.

Yet despite a weaker record than Wilder, you've consistently rated Haye as a top 2 win for Wlad. Why the inconsistency? If Wilder's a fraud then Wlad's entire record is grossly fraudulent, including his foul-filled best win on paper over Povetkin.

Gassiev couldn't even beat Wallin, who was a known quantity by this point. On these forums at least, Gassiev has been far more overrated than Wilder.
