According to the BBC (and Instagram)
BBC is also touting a Fury-Wardley fight. That'd be a fun night and probably sell out somewhere large, and straight from the old school "get your two best men fighting" playbook. I'd watch it and I bet DAZN would find a way to wriggle out of the 12 PPVs a year for that one.

Assume his Netflix filming stint has finished for this series...

    Yay.

No doubt he’ll fight a gimmick on a Saudi card. Probably that kickboxer Joshua was meant to fight.

"Need a minimum 3 tune-ups, Frank" (before fighting for the title in the third)

He’s announced his return days after Joshua has been put out of action.

Fury vs. Wardley would sell out Wembley and finally give DAZN an excuse to drop one of their 12 annual PPVs… right after they add two more.

    Nice earner all around.

Frank Warren gets a lovely new year present another nice wedge on way, Fury banks more multi millions off the fight and no doubt Netflix series about his latest comeback

I’d actually like to see the fight, and I’d be backing Fabio Wardley. But after last month’s debacle, there’s more chance of Tyson fighting Logan Paul or KSI than jeopardising the potential cash-out fight(s) with Joshua.

You’re spot on. Fury vs. Wardley is a proper fight fan’s dream, but in today’s game, the maths will always favour the circus over the sport. If Tyson’s coming back in 2026, you can bet the final stop isn’t Wardley, it’s a Joshua payday wrapped in a Saudi bow.

he can comeback 10 times, it matters not...

when he doesn't fight who he should be fighting, he has failed not only his time, but boxing history. TF is not the goods & never has been, he knew it, that is why he never delivered.

Incredible news. Only 4 days in to 2026 & this year is already looking better than the last.

I cannot see them risking the Wardley fight.

Fury is quite hittable these days, and the amount of £££ at stake. I cant ser them risking it

Either Wardley or Usyk will do.

    Warren has Fury and Wardley.

If Fury wins options open up for him, lose he calls it a day again, Wardley wins he becomes a bigger name options open up for him also.

Lose Wardley has time to rebuild again.

AJ after that crash, will he even ne physically and mentally in a place he actually wants to fight again?

He was never in a good place mentally since Whyte wobbled him in round 2 and Ruiz scarred him for life a few years later.

Hope he makes a full recovery and he would be better off retiring enjoying his mountain of loot.

His legacy is what it was when he left the ring after being splattered by Dubois.

Fury isn’t going to fight Wardley.

His announcement comes at a suspicious time, yet again. It’s depressingly predictable.
