Realistically, can Wilder knock out Usyk?

Not so sure about that. Parker always finds a way to lose the big fights, he did back then and he still does now.

Big difference between can Wilder knock out Usyk and realistically will he. Of course he could given a Hail Mary clean right hand on the button or temple but the odds of that happening now are relatively slim to none. He can no longer pull the trigger, hesitates far too long and even his balance looks shot to bits.

 

If he gets hit, while not looking, during the stare down....maybe.

 

Well to Wilder's benefit, a smaller, shorter man that he can post on the end of his jab is someone that plays way way better to his strengths than the others he has fought who would have just as easily beaten him even at the peak of his prime probably. I mean Parker I don't want to say he was running because he wasn't but he was moving a lot and never standing still. Usyk is slippery as hell but at least he will stand in front of Wilder. So trust me, this is going to FEEL tense and dramatic as hell as long as it lasts.

 

Usyk is far too fluid and has excellent footwork and head movement. He'll end up doing what Parker did but better.

 

If he just stands in front of Wilder like he was against Joshua I promise you will feel a little nervous for Usyk come fight night when you see them up in the ring.

 

Is it possible yes is it likely hell no

 

I don't know... Even at his best, Wilder's biggest punches were highly telegraphed every time - and now he's older and slower, they're not going to be any less so.

Usyk is one of the highest ring IQ fighters you'll ever see - he's unlikely to get caught with something crude and he's certainly not getting outboxed by any version of Wilder.

The one-sided schooling everyone expects is the reasonable thing to expect.

 

Only thing I think Wilder really has going is Usyk is starting to get old himself. I mean I doubt it also but yeah its not unthinkable he clips him. What I don't like for Usyk is he's not much of a mover and he's just going to stand all night where that right hand can hit him.

 

Usyk's movement is intelligent - even if he's slowed down, he's not likely to get caught with a telegraphed bomb...

To hit him, Wilder would need to be throwing shots that Usyk doesn't see coming, but that's not his bomb - and he doesn't seem to generate crazy power unless he plants his feet, at which point it's obvious what he's intending to do.

Wilder isn't Zhang, or even Dubois or AJ - Deontay doesn't generate power on shots you don't see coming...

It's exceptionally unlikely he clips the cat.
