I prefer to keep it simple. If you are inactive for a year, you are dropped from the rankings.

Fury is now over a year without a fight and nothing as yet booked in. I don't consider Joshua's run-out against a youtuber as activity so I didn't include him either. Maybe they are both top 10, maybe not. Prove it in the ring.

Personally, I might rank them again if they fight someone in/around top 20. Taking a year out and then fighting the ultra fringe of fringe contenders doesn't say much.

    Fair enough, can't fault that.

Hopefully Fury comes back against some live opponents. There's plenty of interesting match ups out there for him like Wardley and Kabayel etc

For non title fights in this era that is a fine level of competition. Not Jake Paul the rest of it.

I wouldn't really call that fine. It was mediocre opposition.

For non title fights in this era.

    Two very crucial qualifiers.

If Fury remains inactive he will be removed

Dubois quitting vs Usyk twice is pretty bad

Parkers wins are kind of overrated imo

Whether they are overrated or not Parker is 3-1 against top 10 rated Heavyweights in the last few years.

Dubois also has 2 wins against top 10 rated Heavyweights with a big win over Joshua and a solid win over Hrgovic.

Fury has not registered a single win over a top 10 rated Heavyweight in the last few years.

Based on recent results in the last few years Fury shouldn't be anywhere near the top 3.

Fury has only lost to Usyk yes but he also hasn't registered a single win over a top 10 rated Heavyweight in years.

Suggesting Fury can comeback and beat anyone in the division at age 37 when he hasn't beaten a rated Heavyweight for 4 years is a huge stretch.

Fury also struggled against an MMA fighter and a considerable amount of people thought he lost the fight.

0-2 record against Usyk, split decision vs an MMA fighter, and beating Whyte in 2022 his last win over a rated Heavyweight is not my definition of a top 3 rated Heavyweight.

Ratings are based on recent or current results not what Fury did a decade ago he has to start beating relevant Heavyweights.

After the very weak performance against usyk2 i would not put dubois in top 10 .

Usyk as the belt holder obviously #1 , then

    Kabayel
    Wardley
    Itauma
    Parker

    As the top5 .

Putting an alternative view on it - that usyk recently avoided at least wardley , kabayel and parker - you can also put him at 4 just infront of itauma .

Problem with Itauma is he has no resume to speak of

From a talent standpoint maybe but from a resume standpoint it's hard to even put him in the top 10

Beating 3 top 10 rated Heavyweights---> Beating 1 top 10 rated Heavyweight in past 4 years.

Zhang would be a top 5 win for Fury, Wilder is Fury's 2nd best win of his career, Bakole would be one of Fury's best wins aswell.

Parker was the underdog vs Wilder BTW.
