The 3 year break he took from 2015-2018 was the domino that set in motion AJ and Wilders issues. I acknowledge those issues but Furys the guy who started the whole problem.
How? It gave wilder and joshua titles - how did it determine their choice of opponents I mean yes if he kept them and fought and won against all comers there is no problem. But joshua and wilder didn't either. And usyk doesn't
They were waiting around for him to either come back or be gone long enough they could fight each other for lineal. I don't consider Wilders belt canon pre Ortiz and don't consider AJs canon pre Wlad I understand your issues with their level of competition. But if Fury was on the scene the whole time things would have been different.
They were? If so i missed that. can't have been too long, right? And it only accounts for the year or so they have been waiting. Later they had the titles and could decideon their opponents
This is harsh on AJ tbf The two fighters you say he preferred were mandated to fight for a belt He fought Parker, had already fought Whyte and was willing to do so again but Whyte turned the pay day down Chased Wilder, signed to fight Miller, and has always been willing to fight Fury You could even count Breazele as a young fighter if you want Ruiz was not old either and had little name value AJ tried giving his reign the best on the table Just wasn't always possible
Anybody would have taken that Jake Paul fight. Pick any halfway decent heavyweight and they would have dispatched him, collected the bag. That was a career high payday for the easiest pro fight AJ ever had. He’d have been nuts not to take it.
Tyson Fury has done a lot of damage to the sport of professional boxing. His habit of endlessly pulling out of fights has spread, and now other fighters do the same thing, taking a screw-the-fans approach. See, e.g., Dubois's pull out vs. Joe Parker. Fans are promised exciting fights between top-ranked boxers, but get garbage fights instead when boxers pull out at the last minute and awful fighters are swapped in as substitutes. Fury should stay retired, he has already hurt the sport quite badly. Boxing was much better before he came along. . .
It’s not on record as a fail though is it ? Just like Mayweather’s retroactive TUE weeks after the Pac-Man fight as well as his other fails ! https://www.sbnation.com/longform/2015/9/9/9271811/can-boxing-trust-usada
Neither has Mayweather “officially” failed, this link is eye opening tbh ! https://www.sbnation.com/longform/2015/9/9/9271811/can-boxing-trust-usada
Yeah was doing a thread a bit back how when I see a headline now I think the fights probably not going to happen. People talk about "fake news". But boxings real news is fake news. These are real announcements with real sources and they just go woosh into the eether of nothingness.
That would mean something if Joshua hadn't been battered around the ring and brutally stopped 1.5 years ago and fights once a year. If you're fighting 3-4x a year, sure, take a Jake Paul fight. If this is your only appearance in almost two years, don't expect anyone except sad fanboys to take it seriously.
I’m not sure what your point is? Do you accept FURY failed a ped test? If so, do you accept he is a verified cheat?
It’s does not matter what I do or do not accept the reality is that Fury had elevated levels of nandrolone for the Hammer fight, the levels having not been released to the public so we don’t know if he was above or below the reqd fail level and also the result of the Hammer fight still stands and Fury was then allowed to fight Klitschko whilst being tested more often than normal in the lead up to the fight and immediately after by UKAD.Surely if it was a fail the Hammer fight would have been a NC and then Fury would have been banned and therefore not been allowed the Klitschko fight. The test Fury absolutely did fail was for cocaine in September 2016 after doing an article in Rolling Stone magazine and admitting to drinking heavily and using cocaine. The VADA testers then contacted him after and he failed to show up and when he did show up surprise surprise he failed for cocaine use !
