Lay off the mind altering substances. Aj and Fury had trouble with a washed up forty year old Wlad. They beat no one worth a damn.

 

Fury is overrated here. I guess you missed all the H2H ATG BS threads? There's literally been TONS who were very heavily hyped for years. But hey, I remember my first time getting in to boxing. Was the early 80s, not the 2010s.

I think Tyson Fury was too much for Wlad. Thats not a knock on Wlad. He was surgical in his prime, but it needs to be added that he fought almost exclusively in his backyard. He didnt really have any top opponents. There is no foregone conclusion that prime Wlad beats AJ, Fury, or Usyk. I will add that Wlad and Wilder sparred and, well, Wilder wasnt calling him out - read between the lines.

Thing is, neither did Wlad. All 3 are pretty much equally overrated. Maybe AJ a bit less right now.

 

Wlad started opening up and landing punches in the 12th against Fury. It's Wlad's fault that he didn't do this earlier, but Fury should have given him a rematch. Even crackhead McCall gave Lewis a rematch.

Wlad shouldn't have waited a year and a half to fight Joshua with no tune-up. Wlad made some silly mistakes at the end of his career.

 

That's interesting. I would argue that Vlad is one of, if not the most naturally talented HW ever. He has a decade named after him.

Joshua looks like a clumsy robot against top competition was never even a definitive #1.

That's just my take.

 

Wlad was 39-40, Fury 28-29. Winning a decision over a shot old man...112-115, 112-115, 111-116, is hardly a great achievement.

 

I dont think that was the best version of Fury either though. Wilder 3 version of Fury versus any Povetkin version pf Wlad is a helluva fight

The corpse of Klitschko almost had AJ done for. Klitschko beats AJ trough 90% of his career. Power wise he is gifted well enough to hurt him, the toolbox, while limited, is enough to break AJ down.

Longevity wise also no discussion. AJ has been an exhibition fighter for 4-5 years now, i mean, his last proper win was Ruiz 2? He should stick with the influencer gimmick, its his forte and a way to save some legacy.

I get the comparison, but guys...
