i give torres a god chance. a nice jab with a great defence and throws alot of punches. this combination usually gives james problems. a decent shot for torres ud 15
I wrote a semi-detailed post about this. Somehow it refreshed and disappeared. Annoying. Anyway Toney beats the brakes off of the overrated Torres,
Torres threw far too FEW punches, I think. He could be outworked, which is endlessly frustrating to watch. Because of this, he allows Toney to fight at a more comfortable pace, and allow him to dictate. That’s death to him. Toney counters with power, disallowing many flurries of any note from Torres. Toney by fairly wide decision.
jeeez raahhh 2008! i was a teenager back then and i think i might have to disagree with myself. torres might have a no give guar, a jab and move style but i just think that any good work he would settle into toney would have just switched it up. but yeah he threw some good combinations but he wouldnt really press. that is what i think toney gets done in on. a guy who keeps the pressure on then smothers or jabs out the way. if you are inside or outside or even mid range james gets working but if you keep changing that up he flounders sometimes. but the quick closing of the distance then slipping out is what might give torres some rounds or would be something he would build upon. but yeah toney sd
I like Toney. Torres is overrated in my opinion. He avoided Foster and doen't really have any great wins on his resume.
Eh, we were all teenagers once. Yes, totally agree pressure is how you beat Toney, but precious few were able to pay the price it took to get inside.
