Oleksandr Usyk or Mike Tyson - who's the Greatest of the two?

You really are hilarious.

 

Usyk wins hands down if you include their entire careers. If just at HW, you have to ask how badly Tyson's losses bring him down against Usyk's very good but very short HW career.

 

Usyk, and it's not even comparable imo.

Did Tyson ever face a murderous puncher like AJ or Dubois, or boxer on the level of Fury? Whenever his intimidation tactics didn't work he'd get outboxed and ironed out.

It' not like his KO losses were to power punchers like AJ, Dubois or Wilder either, but he got folded by Douglas and Holyfield (!!).

Imagine if Usyk got outboxed, bullied in the clinch or KO'd by those guys... Usyk wouldn't even be mentioned as a top 50 HW of all time.

There's no way Mike would KO a 27-year old Dubois in his prime at Usyk's age. No chance whatsoever.

If Usyk and Tyson ever faced each other, Usyk would have ZERO fear. Tyson would be psychologically beaten before the fight even started.

 

Considering his entire career, I think Usyk. Remember, before he became a top professional, he was a top amateur. As for the heavyweight division itself, it's Tyson. Mike has defeated five current champions, five former champions, outclassed three Olympic champions, was the only one in Holmes's 30-year career to knock him out, outclassed the current lineal champion, and won 12 championship fights. In heavyweight, Usyk isn't even close.

 

So Bruno wasn't a power puncher?

And Tyson would wreck Dubois

 

Bruno wasn't that good or powerful, Bonecrusher Smith ironed him out.

So a 38-year old Tyson who got stopped by Kevin McBride would wreck Dubois?

 

Who mentioned anything about being good? You said power puncher which Bruno was, he had imence power

And tbh if Tyson at 37 landed on Dubois, do you think he could handle it?

Dubois folds when things dint6go his way, clearly part of his brain and how it's wired

 

Razor Ruddock, Frank Bruno, James Bonecrusher Smith, were all big hitters that Tyson beat.

 

Usyk was 1 shotted by a horse though.

 

Tyson had some bad losses towards the end of his career but I think when people are assessing a fighters resume they tend to overlook losses when the fighter in question is completely shot.

Regardless yes Usyk ranks higher than Tyson in all time P4P rankings combining his Cruiserweight/Heavyweight rankings.

But I do not see any basis for Usyk being more highly rated than Tyson in Heavyweight rankings.

Tyson has 12 world Heavyweight title wins compared to 6 for Usyk.

Tyson beat something like 12 opponents ranked in the top 10.

Usyk has only beaten 3 opponents ranked in the top 10 at Heavyweight. And most of his title defences are rematches against British Heavyweights.

 

Why do you say "against British Heavyweights"
So if Usyk is successful against Wilder next, will that be a greater win to you?
They were the best HWs around.
If Fury, Joshua and Dubois had all been American, would that have made a difference to you?
