Agit Kabayel deserves his title shot

Usyk can still pick kabayel to bits...

Fury and Usyk make light work of him but both are declining more than can be perceived.

 

And thats why we will never see usyk facing kabayel ot wardley .

Usyk cannot risk to loose .

The wbc and previously wbo finds one excuse after another to prevent a title defence against true dangerous opponents or at least to buy time for usyk . The last joke of wbc to protect usyk is a "final eliminator" between itauma and franklin while the no1 contender kabayel waits forever .

 

I can't really argue with this.

If Usyk is a good as 'we' think he is, he should have already taken Kabayel and Parker/Wardley out of the equation. These are good deserving challengers, but should be routine defences for a 'all time great heavyweight'.

 

Usyk himself is not sure at his current age and thats why he avoids any of the three . When he would be sure to win he would have fought them already .

Its surely not pleasant for him to make fun of himself calling for injury extensions to avoid parker to only drop a belt after this to avoid wardley and see how the boxing world laughs when he fights shot and washed wilder to avoid kabayel .

Usyk is good , in fact i see him clearly outperforming kabayel in skills and maybe also stamina . But usyk IS relativly soft to the body and facing the most brutal body puncher of the division is a hell of a risk for usyk .

 

Why do you think Usyk would have fought them already?
He was tied up in 2 fights with Fury where there were delays and he had to wait and then there was the Dubois rematch.
That's 3 fights he was tied into there, and all 3 at the respective times were the biggest fights for him to make.
At what time was he supposed to have fought these two?

 

Example wardley : When usyk would be sure to beat wardley he of course would just do it instead of dropping the wbo belt and loosing his undisputed status . Dropping the belt was the only way to avoid wardley after his "injury extension" expired . He tried to keep the belt as long as possible .

 

He had to drop the IBF belt and fought Dubois later

 

He didn't have to fight Dubois again. He chose Dubois over Parker (a boxer he hasn't faced).
He could have fought 2 or 3 times in 2025. He could have fought Kabayel and Parker.

 

Hrgovic saw the same crowd.

 

So you expect Usyk to fight the best opponent out there every single fight? Did you expect this of the pother champs of the past decade? None of them took any challenging fights they could avoid.

 

When usyk has faced 40 or 50 opponents at heavy we can talk about this . Currently he has 5 at heavy and now ducked three in a row . He should just face the opposition and be good for the sport instead of blocking it .

 

Champions should fight 2 or 3 times a year. Usyk chose rematches over facing new deserving contenders. And he's been too inactive.

He's only fought Joshua, Fury and Dubois in the past FIVE years, (2 times each). No one else. Apparently he's lining Wilder up next, Wilder literally hasn't defeated a top 10 boxer in over SIX years.

 

When Lennox Lewis beat Holyfield twice (1 contoversial draw, 1 win) in 1999, he followed up with Grant, Botha and Tua in 2000.
Grant and Tua were rated as legit top contenders, in their primes. Among the top 4 or 5, among the very best available. Botha was a bit of a 'gimme' (but probably no worse than Dubois the first time).

If Usyk fights 3 times a year, he can take a soft touch.
