His 'star appeal' will have gone up massively, don't worry about that. Some people moan continuously that DAZN only have about 50 subscribers anyway so even if Eddie decided to do his bo**ocks by winning the purse bid it wouldn't have made any difference with his profile would it ? Need to move with the times, Dalton got huge exposure and reach by winning across all platforms , it's not all about the numbers who watched it live , all that matters to is those running the PPV's. MR's job is to earn Dalton as much money as they can each fight , last night that was well and truly achieved, job done.
Fantastic performance from Dalton Smith last night. The bias on commentary was pathetic and laughable. Smith won every single round…. And beat Matias at his own game. To finish Matias like that in his backyard was superb. He hits him with the 1-2, Matias wobbles but instead of rushing his work, he takes a second, sets himself and then ends the show. Brilliant.
The time has come for you to reverse into a gypsy camp with your trousers on back to front - this gypsy fetish is only going to grow until you share your ring with one.
just watched the fight back, a great accomplishment also a pleasure to hear the biased latino commentators from whatever two-bit operation broadcasted this card eat their words. my favourite: *Dalton absolutely pieces up Matias in the opening round, landing everything he throws* “Matias is taking Smith out of his comfort zone, he’s never had to throw so many punches before!”
I didn’t know travellers were particularly any good at boxing, how many world champs have been travellers?
Yes it may have been. I thought the momentum was starting to go towards matias and smith was looking damaged. Dalton did excellent, he should be very proud.
Same, watched on YouTube this morning, the commentary was disgustingly biased, dalton smith doing some very good clever work with no recognition at all There was a lot of “but here comes matias!!” Not throwing anything just plodding forward, those commentators should be ashamed Fair play to dalton smith, with the odds stacked against him managed to pull it out of the bag! Well done that man
I would now be interested to hear from McGuigan and/or Adam Azim, I doubt they’ll be mentioning smiths name after that performance, wouldn’t be surprised to hear the old “we’re looking at other routes”
Azim is 23, Dalton is 29 in 3 weeks. Dalton was fighting in 6 rounders at Azim’s age. No shame in admitting Azim is behind Smith in development purely on age.
