Usyk vs Kabayel will look like Usyk vs Gassiev

First time we’ve agreed on something for almost a decade?

Kabayel is a consensus top 10 heavyweight. There's little argument for anyone else being more deserving except maybe Wardley. So how would that work exactly?

Usyk fought a Fury who hadn't scored an impressive win in years and had barely scraped by Ngannou in his prior fight. He also fought a Joshua that had been recently kayoed by Ruiz and has done little since. Can't see how Kabayel is worse than those options.

    How would what work??

    Who said Kabayel was worse?

My original point, that the same people claiming Usyk is "ducking" Kabayel will then immediately discount Kabayel as hyped/overrated etc if Usky beats him, stands.

Not sure what you're on about.

Yeah it definitely could be very similar. Though I do feel young Gassiev was more dangerous, and THAT particular version of Usyk was his peak and best ever that we won’t quite see again. But even now Usyk is incredible with a strong work ethic and carrying his experience with him. Nobody is beating him. But Kabayel is definitely a very strong fighter. Stronger than I initially thought!

Usyk by late stoppage. Probably between 9-10

I'm not saying Usyk is on the decline, but he isn't as fleet as foot as he was when he fought Gassiev. Add to that Kabayel is a very different fighter to Gassiev; as much as I like Gassiev he can turn quite passive when he has an elusive target in front of him, often waiting for clear opportunities whilst letting the rounds slip away. In this respect Kabayel is very different, as he can march forward on the front foot looking to apply pressure and create openings. All this is to say I don't think Kabayel beats Usyk, but I think the fight would be competitive.

I know it won't happen, but it would be nice if Itauma was the cherry on top at the end.
