Just a feeling. Itauma is insanely fast counter puncher southpaw with great power in both hands. I don't think the body work and pressure would work here for Agit. Itauma would eventually time one of his body flurries and knock him out. Bad matchup for Agit.

    Thoughts?

in a couple of years? sure. Itauma has the uppercut to catch him coming in. Issue is that Itauma's team won't risk it right now. Right now i think Kabayel stops him but a more mature Itauama will have all the tools to catch an incoming Kabayel.

Call me a madman but I think Itauma can absolutely do this if they fight now.
    Big fan of Kabayel tho.

Itauma is untested, I don't care that he beat the fat bloated corpse of Dillian Whyte.

Kabayel is proven against better competition and would win this. Give Moses a few years instead of rushing him into an early ass beating that would destroy his confidence.

i don't think you are mad. Itauma has the speed and power right now. But will his team risk it? They didn't want him to fight Sanchez. I don't think they will risk it vs Kabayel even though Itauma has a shot vs Kabayel even right now. But Itaumas punch resistance is untested.

You are right. When I posted the thread I visualizd this happening in a couple of years if Kabayel is a beltholder and still undefeated post Usyk.

Yup, Itauma takes him out early. He's the perfect counter to Kabayel.

Itauma's gas tank and durability are unknown but I don't think Kabayel survives for long enough to test them.

Giving itauma ridiculous props. I am pretty high on itauma, too, but he beat noone. Yes he has good power and technique, but as everyone says - 'there is levels to boxing'.

Don't only look for speed and technique. Kabayel is solid like a rock. Instantly got up from zhang's knockdown and took the fight forward.

If you could go by how fighters look against subpar opposition, we would have many more stellar careers. There are lots of fighters coming up the rankings with over 90% ko ratio but somehow that suddenly stops when they get close to the top ten...

And you didn't turn your thoughts the other way. What does kabayel's offense do to itauma? I have only seen a few moments where itauma was pressured to the ropes and he didn't look great there. Too short to tell, but since he often relies on in-and-out movement for defense that makes me ask, what else does he have for defense when he hasn't shown it so far at all? If anyone in the world can pressure you to the ropes right now, it's kabayel. And then itauma will really be tested.

Early ko for itauma against kabayel is a prediction you land on when purely extrapolating from what you see in itaumas fights so far and expecting it to carry on however the levels change

Btw if itauma is all that he seemed to be - that would be great for boxing. So all the good luck and Spirit to him!

Unlike Kabayel, we just haven't seen Itauma last 12 rounds.

We've seen Itauma being taken the distance a few times against part time journeymen where he was basically out of ideas and seemed a bit gassed. I could see Kabayel weathering the early onslaught considering he has got up and beaten some huge punchers, Kabayel could instead be very well be Itauma's kryptonite in fact if this fight goes long.

No one has any idea yet if Itauma can take a punch or is just another in a long line of undefeated guys who crumble at the first sign of adversity.

I just hope itauma is smart enough not to read social media posts too much

I mean he is a sharp counter puncher who appears to have devastating power

Obviously he is very much untested

If the attributes he has displayed vs this lower level opposition materializes when he steps up I can see him being dangerous for Kabayel. But this is a big if

One punch to Itauma’s body from Kabayel is all it takes
