For me, I'm not interested in Usyk III, or any of the young guns like Wardley. I think it should be all unfinished business, guys he didn't get to in his era, or fights that were on the table and got away. My list is as follows:

    AJ
    Andy Ruiz
    Joe Joyce
    Ngannou rematch (train this time)
    Shannon Briggs
    Charles Martin
    Marcelous Wilder
    Mahkmudov
    Yoka
Chisora IV (once and for good!)
    Bigtime cruiserweights not named Opetaia
    WladKlit out of retirement
    David Haye out of retirement
    David Price out of retirement
    Tony Bellew out of retirement
    Coleman Barret out of retirement

Ruiz would be the smartest pick, easy to outbox and he smoked joshua. But if he isn't planning on fighting top guys he should stay retired

    AJ the obvious pick.

Warm up should be top 10-15 given what he will want to be paid and his lack of activity

AJ seems like he’s out of the picture for now, if he’s targeting a big fight then Wardley, Dubois and Kabayel are the obvious options. Very risky ones though.

Safest bets would be Makhmudov and Ruiz

Assuming he actually wants to fight

Somebody relatively known but easy for fury like ruiz or zhang

Then someone still in the scene like kabayel, parker, dubois

    Then AJ

    Then wardley

    Then usyk 3

It would be fun to see him against ngannou lol

AJ fight is questionable now for obvious reasons.

Wardley. Fury would probably win if he took it seriously but Wardleys power and heart make him dangerous. Fury would be unwise to get complacent and **** around.

Kabayel would a good clash. Kabayels pressure and body work might spell disaster for an unfit Fury. But Kabayels a pretty easy target and it might be well be target practice for Fury. Doesn't appear to be on the cards though. They're both "friends"

Miller. Do I need to explain the explain the appeal?

Usyk III... Furys antics and reputation have colored the narrative of these fights somewhat. They were great competitive affairs with lots of drama(especially fight I) For me they more than lived up to the billing. People would ***** and moan but everyone would tune in regardless and it would still be a huge event overall.

Makhmudov. Talked about as a tuneup. Fury should be able to outbox and break Makhmudov down but his questionable chin make it somewhat interesting at least for the first couple of rounds.

Zhang. Getting up there in age but his power and timing are still there. Furys almost guaranteed to win should the fight reache the second half. But again questionable chin and Zhangs power and ability to deliver it at least early on make it a very intriguing fight.

Dubois. Dubois coming off another humiliating stoppage loss to Usyk. They both have that recent defeat in common but Fury was at least in the fight. Fury at his best would probably have too much for Dubois and still very well might. But Dubois is younger, fit, hits hard and boxes well enough to make things very interesting. Could be a fight where Fury mentally and physically breaks Dubois down, or a situation similar to the Joshua fight where Fury is caught early on and never gets a chance to warm up into things. Difference being Fury has exceptional recuperative abilities despite his questionable chin and mentally tougher than AJ.. But being in his late 30s and the wear and tear he has on his body those might not be things he can reliably count on anymore.

Hrgovic. This might be the closet fight possible to a Fury/V Klitschko fantasy fight. The difference being Hrgovic is more lackadaisical and almost sleep walks his way to victories. He isn't the biggest puncher so he would probably lose a boxing match assuming Fury is still as good as he was in the Usyk rematch.

    Itauma. Not happening.

    Joshua
    Dubois
    Kabayel
    Wardley

I’m not interested in anything else. If he wants an easy fight then he can go down the rankings and pick whoever.

Wardley is the correct option since he’s a belt holder. Anything else is just a warm up and light work like Usyk is trying to do with Wilder. I want to see these big units clobber each other not take easy lay ups.

There's a difference between who I'd like to see him fight, who's a sensible option and who he's likely to actually fight.

I don't think he'll hunt the top dogs.

Hrgovic would be a good option - Fury wouldn't have to worry about power and even if he's unfit, Hrgovic will gas alongside him... Should be a fairly straightforward/obvious outcome (points win).

I suspect he'll fight journeymen claiming to be working on a comeback... Pick up some attention and money... Then retire again before he's "ready" for a half decent fight.
