    Are you basically implying that Wlad and Vitali didn't beat anyone either?

    I'd agree the 1980's wasn't the strongest era but Mike Tyson was the pound for pound number one, and beat champions to lineal champions.

    I know. On these forums we often criticise fighters by saying “who did he beat” as the majority of resumes can be ripped apart.

    It gets tiresome when we apply this logic to some fighters, but give others a pass.

    In answer to your question about klitschko’s, yes the same can be said about them.

    my opinion, the majority do what they can and the fans are too critical.

    Interesting comparison but I don't really see it myself. While Tyson was definitely past his best, he was still highly ranked and seen as a viable threat. Heck, there were plenty of fans and pundits picking Tyson to KO Lewis. Wilder is just too far past it to be a viable comparison IMO
