Buzz on Youtube is that Usyk-Wilder is running into trouble.

A heard a couple of different channels talk about how no one wants to host it. This is some good news, if true. No one really wants this fight. I am more amendable to it that most, and I would much rather see Kabayel, Wardley or Parker. The free market may do the trick for us.

Usyk has a brilliant team. But his team seem to have a genuine misunderstanding.

Wilder isn't some extraordinary name in US. And after a number of losses, which US fan is going to pay $100 USD to watch Wilder get beaten pillar to post with less than a 10% punchers chance at best?

If Wilder was undefeated or if he has 1-2 losses at best, the fight might sell a little better. But at this point? Jesus. Even the most casual fans know Wilder has no chance to why would they pay for it?

I live in Canada and i bought the Usyk-Dubois PPV, and Usyk-Fury 2, and Usyk-Fury 1. I ain't paying for Usyk-Wilder. If it is shown in a bar, i will go to the bar, get a couple of drinks, and watch, but i am not shelling out money for a PPV.

And i suspect US fans won't either. Wilder isn't a big enough name, has had too many losses, and even casual fans don't give him a shot. +

I,m afraid usyk will try to keep the belts as long as he can but without fighting anybody he is not absolute sure he will win . Should that fail he will suddenly simply retire calling it a day .

 

I still think the fight gets made. Wilder has to accept a small payout like 1 million the same Wlad would give his opponents and pick a venue that’s not Vegas. Try like Msg in New York.

 

None of the British pundits seem to want to promote this sparring session either.

 

I don't mind Usyk fighting Wilder and beating him to a pulp. On the other hand I agree that there are better fights to be made.

 

Thank god, defend against Kabayel or Wardley it is really that simple.

 

Wardley literally beat Parker, lol. Joseph deserves it more than Wilder, but not more than Fabio.

 

Hope the fight doesn't get made. It's a effing joke. But the rumours also are - it may have a backing of Zuffa nd Turki.

Good to hear. I actually thought wardley would be a no brainer. I don't see him getting to usyk and he is british and will bring in lots of Money with his story. I would assume usyk can earn five times the money he makes with wilder...
Almost indicating usyk actually wanted wilder on his record for legacy... Or to fight in the US to build his profile/legacy.

So if this tanks, we might actually get wardley or kabayel. (Don't know how anyone can ask for parker at this point...)

Wardley or Kabayel would make for more meaningful fights.

I'm fairly confident Usyk would beat Wardley, but Kabayel because of his skillful pressure - throwing a variety of punches from different angles - might be difficult.
