This content is protected Mbilli or Sheeraz are the most likely opponents for Canelo's fight in September, IMO.
The Resendiz-Munguia winner would be best for Canelo. Anyone else is too dangerous for him at the tail end of Canelo's career. Loading up on punches with no jab is all Canelo has now.
I'm curious to see who his opponent will be. We already know it won't be Iglesias, I doubt it will be one of Pacheco, Mbilli, or Sheeraz. I think Canelo will choose a less difficult opponent for his comeback than the top contenders in the division, but I could be wrong, we'll see.
Dude is beyond shopworn. One punch at a time. Waddling footwork. Predictable by a sun dial. 60% the fighter he was 5-6 years ago. Who cares.
I think it may depend on how he looks. I think he still looked fairly good against Crawford despite losing.
I get the feeling that despite staying in excellent shape, he's due for a steep fall-off really soon. Elbow surgery and tons of mileage. He's already quite declined, but wouldn't be surprised if he turns up looking like a complete shell within the next year or two.
Canelo taking Turki for a ride again and getting paid $50m to fight another Scull or John Ryder Just close the chapter on Canelo and make the fight with Beterbiev to put him out of his misery please uncle Turki
Yeah, he was only missing Crawford by a few inches and is not "old" but he has a lot of miles and has made plenty of money and is not quite the fighter he used to be. I'd prefer to see Canelo retire than be retired That said, he should still be favored over anyone at the weight class
