Usyk Wilder set to be announced for July 11th

But the guys over on (black boxing)YouTube said that this was not going to happen???

 

I love me some Usyk, but I am disappointed in this fight. It would be nice if Fury/AJ was on the undercard along with an Itauma and Kayabal fight. That would make it worth while.

 

OK, it seems facing giants 6 times in a row weren't enough for the heavyweight audience. They probably want him to fight 3 times a year.

What next Fury fight a no name potato for his comeback fight? Probably.....

Then AJ doesn't fight because he's preserving himself for Fury

It's a shame because Usyk does have some spunk left in him...and he's wasted it on Wilder.

Call me a sucker. If I lived near SF I would go especially if they are giving free tickets to see one of the best HWs of all-time.

 

Honestly seeing a HW title fight live for free outdoors would be awesome. And I'm an introverted kinda semi blind dude who doesn't really like live sporting events. And I think this sounds great.

Good idea if you put your feelings about Wilder not deserving a title shot aside.

I don't mind it, but what I take issue with is that it isn't until July.

 

An unnecessary fight as well as time that will be wasted waiting for this fight. If this crappy fight is being planned then I would like to see Hrgovic vs. Kabayel because Wardley is apparently going for Chisora.

 

In his 50th pro fight ... his 14th with the heavyweight title on the line ... and with more than 100,000 people in attendance ...

Deontay Wilder will knock down and stop the undefeated World Heavyweight Champion and Pound-for-Pound king Oleksandr Usyk and become the second-oldest man to win the heavyweight title.

 

He's had a brutal run between Dubois, Joshua, and Fury over the past several years, so he's earned a softer touch (albeit a still dangerous one). Wish it was in the first quarter of 2026 though. Hope he fights Kabayel or Wardley after.

 

I can like this fight even Wilder is a little bit washed up. But I would have preferred to have it in April or May.

 

He isn't really holding up the division, since none of the other recent champs fought much more.
