Usyk gave the real hardcore fans some of the best boxing we've ever seen for a DECADE. Let him have his one American Swan Song to break into that market. Something tells me he will end up rewarding the diehards again in turn with a finale in Kabayel (ending it where the Klitschkos reigned supreme) or Wardley (encore for the crowd that embraced and understood him best over his career).

Yeah, but could you ever see Fury or AJ accepting being on an undercard for a fight Wilder headlines?

The problem is that it's taken 6 years to do that. He shouldn't need 1 year between fights especially if he's going for soft touches like Dubios and Wilder

Only if they are paid well. Of course, this is just boxing fan fantasy talk. Promoting the fights separately makes way more money.

True - there are too few fights between heavyweight contenders.

Multi-belt champions shouldn't "earn" the right for a soft defence; they hold most of, if not all the belts, and there's always a handful of contenders who have usually waited a decade or longer for a shot. You don't get to the top of the division and suddenly hold up the entire weight class doing a farewell tour. It's elite sport, you **** or get off the pot, or fight the best. It's this mentality that has led the sport to lose fans to the UFC and to be relegated to a niche sport. Nobody should be defending this fight.

Usyk is simply a spaceship compared to Wilder, Wilder will come to survive in the ring...

Joshua wouldn’t mind appearing on a Wilder undercard, as long as there’s more coin to expand his vast fortune.
Remember he substituted for lightweight, Gervonta Davis, last month playing the “b”side to an “influencer” masquerading as a boxer!

They won't. Not with this mismatch. Not with these two fighters.

Want to break that record, have Canelo fight for one of the 168lb titles on Mexican Independence day, in Mexico, at a free outdoor venue.

The more I see the more I think this is bull****. On some of the usual boxing blogs they've read the IVB mission statement to have this event, and at no time that I have heard is Usyk-Wilder mentioned. I just don't see where they have even made the claim. Internet rumor.
