throw it in Alabama then (Wilder’s home state), at the largest football stadium there. If the tickets are free, it might fill up.

A career high payday for an extremely low risk fight against the greatest self promoter in the history of the sport, in a country whose market he’s never really broken into for casuals? Any sane fighter would have done it.

Jake Paul did for AJ what Eddie never managed to — made him a thing in America.

I guess, but it's still a fight that means nothing. Neither AJ or Fury are belt holders. What, The winner gets their ass beat for a 3rd time by Usyk? Only champs get top billing.

Wilder Usyk is a horrible fight that shouldn't even be considered. Glad it know it was all BS

I didn't say that. The San Francisco thing is all rubbish. I still think Usyk wants the fight.

However, he may not get it, because we are back to the venue issues. No one wants it.

But to be clear, this only says that the San Francisco aspect is garbage.

As far as I know. I am just posting what it public information.

Last I heard, they were having problems finding a venue because no one wanted it. Then the nonsense about SF came out, which I recognized right away as garbage. Now it is officially garbage, and we are back to where we were.

Like everyone, I would rather see Wardly, Kabayel or Parker. But I will watch Wilder.

The fight is trash either way. Wardley deserves his shot at the man in the division

Kabayel should be next. Usyk relinquished a belt and Wardley now has it. He's been made whole.

Wardley is a preferable fight to Wilder, but since Kabayel has been waiting longer, Wardley has been made whole, and Wardley has unfinished business with Parker (if he is becomes eligible) due to the British stoppage, I would say that by a country mile, the ideal thing would be for Usyk to fight Kabayel, Wardley to rematch Parker, and the winners to fight each other.

But it Usyk wants to fight Wilder, I'll watch. At this point, regardless of what happens next, Usyk will be remembered as a true great. And I intend to enjoy every minute.

    POST SCRIPT:

In my opinion, Wilder-Gassiev for the WBA regular would be perfect, and a fan friendly fight that would catapult the winner back into the picture.

Pretty lame fight tbh. I guess Usyk is taking it to prove he's the best of those so-called "Big Three." I don't think it will sell well though. Usyk is fairly popular; I've met a decent amount of people who like and know who he is. But Wilder fans have totally abandoned him. They all know that Usyk kills him, so they don't want to watch a forgone conclusion.
