Watched a few clips from Froch On Fighting where Hamed said to Froch he was "very limited" - but he was a world medallist in the amateurs, beat the likes of Kessler, and jumped back in there with Groves after a highly contentious first fight and knocked him out. Hamed beat more world champions, but I think Froch had the better quality wins. Who do you guys think was better P4P? I think Froch was personally.

Hamed had the boxing ability, power and somersault ring entrances but he never knocked out George Groves at Wembley in front of 80,000.

Divisions go through high and lows, not all world champs are world class, Naz and Froch were well beaten by their toughest opponents, Froch was also lucky to stop Taylor after falling behind on points, he wa just a brawler and nothing more than that, McCracken wa an awful trainer.

I would go with Naz. Definitely more talented.

Froch milked everything he had and was a tough tough man.

Naz had a god given talent and frightening power. Just went off the rails

Both were world class but if you really believe they were not it says a lot about your knowledge of boxing

Froch got beat by a great boxer in Ward.

However, unlike Naz, he went on a winning streak and beat some very tough top fighters afterwards.

Froch showed true grit and determination.
Naz was a cocky show off until he got beat then disappeared

Great question tbh. Not an easy one to answer imo. Skill wise in terms of ability its obviously got to be naseem. Looking over the cv,s at a quick glance tho looks like froch had the better career and in turn the better p4p.

I do think tho some of naseems opponents are underrated in the sense he beat guys with say a 44 wins and 8 losses record. But they guys beat a lot of guys with good records in them 44 wins and the losses we,re more often than not against quality fighters. I think the divisions we,re deeper when naseem fought....and they fought much better competition more often. Frochs era we,re more we,ll train as full time professionals and batter 30 guys that had day jobs before taking on the rest of the guys that done the same. Froch ended up taking on a lot of them in fairness. But for that reason i,d probably say naseem.

An example is manual medina. Had a record of 52 wins and 7 losses by the time he fought naz. Had literally 60 fights. Looked like he had to be winding down by the time naz got him. 16 fights and 7 years later medina turns up again and beats scot harrison in Glasgow as well. 76 fights in a career that spanned 17 years at that point...and was still good enough to beat harrison.

They’re only seen as “equals” because Froch overachieved and Naz underachieved relative to their potential — Froch was a warrior who maxed everything, while Naz was being touted as a future all-time great before he even won titles and was really a bantam/super-bant frame chasing feather for the quickest belt (Robinson was his real fight at the weight).

World class is someone consistently fighting at world level. Someone who is up there with the best in the division. That perfectly sums up Froch and Naz.

Barrera and Ward were a level or two above that. Top P4P level fighters and ATGs. That doesn't mean that Froch and Naz weren't world class.

As for Froch, he was a terrific fighter. Yes, he was slow and not greatly skilled, but he was more than just a tough, hard hitter. He had really good timing (something he needed due to being so slow), was awkward, and when not looking for a brawl, he could actually box quite well and stick to a game plan (Kessler II, Groves II, Abraham).

Not all world class fighters are greatly skilled in the traditional sense.

This is such a flawed take in so many ways

They were world class in their era
What era do you judge world class on for their respective divisions then if not the one they fought in?

Rob Mcracken might not be the best trainer but please explain to me how he was an awful trainer??

Do you really think GB would have used him so prominently if he were "awful"?

I'll answer that for you, it's no

    And Froch just a brawler?
Whilst it was something he exceled at, there was more to his game

And stopping a fighting like Taylor isn't lucky, it's a result of punches thrown
So what if he was behind on points?
Points isn't the only way to win as was displayed
