Who's the biggest threat to Muhammad Ali H2H, Wladimir Klitschko, Mike Tyson or Oleksandr Usyk

IB and The Professor both banned.

They were both mods once.

 

I think Ali wins them all but Wlad has the best shot, maybe winning one out of three....

 

All of them would be a tough fight for Ali. Wlad due to the size, power and having one of the best left hooks in the history of HW. Usyk due to the footspeed and southpaw stance. Tyson due to the fact he is a better version of Frazier. But if I had to put someone against Ali, I would pick Wlad just to see how Ali tries to deal with him.

 

I think Tyson beats Ali prime for prime.

Ali: Knocked on his ass when he was Clay in his 11th fight, against Sonny Banks. Punch was a left hook.

Ali: Knocked on his ass when he was Clay in his 19th fight, against Henry Cooper. Punch was a left hook. Clay needed smelling salts in between rounds was the rumor.

Ali: Knocked around all night by Joe Frazier and knocked on his ass in the fifteenth round. Punch was a left hook.

“Iron” Mike Tyson’s best punch you ask? His left hook.

Ali never truly adapted to this weakness. Early stages of his career through the late ones. His heart, chin and ability to recover saved him.

If you watch Ali, even in his prime, he is susceptible to the left hook. History above proves this. It is not hard to fathom that Tyson would be close to, if not the fastest opponent Ali ever faced. Tyson will land on Ali and land left hooks. Tyson hits faster and at least as hard, if not harder, than Sonny Banks or Henry Cooper.

It’s not hard to see a more than a punchers chance for a Tyson victory in my opinion.

 

Wlad. I don't think Ali hits hard enough to worry Wlad. I think he would fight safety-first (with Emanuel), but it would be nice to see if he would let his offensive arsenal cook (pre-Emanuel).

 

The Professor is not banned. Look more closely.

 

DEFINITELY peak Usyk. With Peak Wladimir a very close 2nd because of his ATG power. Not to mention the hand speed to go with it.

Both of them I’d favor over prime Ali.

 

Only Usyk, Wlad and Tyson were both overrated.

 

I'm picking all three to beat Muhammad Ali and I'm confident it would happen. Muhammad Ali may have the best resume of all, but I don't think he would beat the trio...

 

Just like Tyson had problems with very good movers with very good jabs.

 

Seemed to handle Tucker, Biggs and Thomas alright, though none of them were Ali level. Always saw Tyson vs Ali as 60/40 in favor of Ali.

 

1966 Ali would likely beat Wlad. We saw Wlad be a night mare for similiarly sized Haye, but Haye was no where near as good as Ali or fast.

Tyson would be really tough, but again, 66 Ali is not the one who fought Frazier in 70'. I'd pick Ali. An old Holmes was able to do some stuff with Mike before he got stopped. James Green went the distance.

Usyk is probably the weirdest one to call. Neither one faced anything like the opponent. My head says Usyk wins with his work rate, but Usyk had all his toughest fights with cruiserweights or similiarly sized, quick guys. Bellew could box and win rounds with him on the outside. I'll give it to Ali.

ONe last thing, these ads on this website are unbearable nowadays. No wonder I stop coming here.

 

Uysk wouldn't leave him alone and KO is unlikely on either end and Uysk is probably a better technician. Wlad was a nightmare for smaller heavyweight who weren't bigger punchers and his clinching and sheer size would be difficult to handle and Tyson with his pressure fighting and being a less active but more skilled and powerful than Frazier. You could make a credible argument for all 3.
