Wills thought little of Rocky, and was almost certainly the most athletic man Marciano would've faced in the 205-220 pound range during his career. This content is protected (and this is him at 36-37) Wills also had the strength to go along with his speed (unlike the Rock who didn't have the speed to match his strength), apparently bullied and embarrassed Johnson with his strength in the clinch during sparring. He has a 14 inch reach advantage on him on top of that. Such significant weight, speed and reach disadvantages have been the main reasons given for other fighters beating Marciano, does it still apply here?
Yeah, that’s well observed. Wills is a bit of a stylistic nightmare for Rocky - who I’d reluctantly guess would still find a way to grind it out with late work rate.
