I'll believe it when Ruiz jr. posts an instagram sucking in his gut, talking about what great shape he's in and then wears his shirt at the weigh-in where he's three hundred and twelve pounds.

It’s a much better fight than Wilder at least lol. Seems Usyk really wants that big USA moment. Maybe to bring more attention to the war in Ukraine in the States.

There are people on this forum who are a more reliable source than Derek Chisora.

It wouldn’t surprise me though given the way talks are going for Usyk’s next fight. Kabayel, Wardley, Itauma etc seem out of the picture for now

I thought choosing Wilder was a leap for Usyk. But it's a fight I've always wanted to see.

However, Ruiz seems like an EVEN BIGGER leap. Ruiz hasn't stopped anyone since he fought Joshua SEVEN years ago, and couldn't repeat it.

Oh well, wake me up when someone figures out what's going on.;)

    Wilder-Ruiz Common Opponents
    Deontay Wilder

    KO 1 Sergei Liahovich - 2013
(Wilder leaves Liakhovich convulsing on the floor)
    Andy Ruiz
    W10 Sergei Liahkovich 2014
(Fight appears to be a toss-up, but friendly judges give it to Ruiz wide on the cards)

    Deontay Wilder
    KO6 Chris Arreola - 2016
(Wilder, with a broken hand AND a torn bicep, stops Arreola)
    Andy Ruiz
    W12 Chris Arreola - 2021
(Ruiz is floored in the second, staggered in the third and has to get off the floor to earn a points win)

    Deontay Wilder
KO 10 Luis Ortiz - 2018 (Wilder scores three knockdowns, hands Ortiz his first loss)
KO 7 Luis Ortiz - 2020 (Wilder scores a one-punch KO, hands Ortiz his second loss)
    Andy Ruiz
W12 Luis Ortiz - 2022 (Ruiz scores three knockdowns, can't finish him. According to Punchstat, Ortiz lands more, but the knockdowns prove the difference in the scoring.)

    Deontay Wilder
    L12 Joseph Parker - 2023
(38-year-old Wilder loses a wide unanimous decision to the Prime 31-year-old Parker)
    Andy Ruiz
    L12 Joseph Parker - 2016
(27-year-old Ruiz loses a close decision to 24-year-old Parker)

Last win over a ranked heavyweight:
    Deontay Wilde
    r (2022) - first-round KO over WBA #2 ranked Robert Helenius
Andy Ruiz (2022) - Close UD over Luis Ortiz

    Last Fight
    Deontay Wilder
(2025) - stops unheralded, unranked Tyrell Herndon, flooring him multiple times and stopping him in seven

    Andy Ruiz
(2024) - fights to a 10-round majority draw with unranked Big Baby Miller. None of the three judges scored for Ruiz. One scored for Miller, two had it even.

    Last Win
Deontay Wilder - 2025 (last fight)
    Andy Ruiz - 2022 (Ortiz)

    Credentials
    Deontay Wilder
    - Olympic Bronze Medalist, Five-year-reign as heavyweight titleholder (2015-2020), 10 successful heavyweight title defenses.

Andy Ruiz - Six-month reign as heavyweight titleholder in 2019

I had a strange experience in the park once when I ran into these women taking turns doing hula hoop, grown women, giggling like school girls on the playground, taking turns with this giant metal ring that looked just impossible to hula with, because of its sheer heft. Then Del Boy came walking in asking if anyone saw his dongle ring and you're not going to believe how these two things relate but it's really quite amusing.

Why do we need more attention on the wars created by the elite?

it’s a more credible and interesting fight than Wilder but I don’t think it’s one I’m most wanting to see.

It’s probably why Usyk wants to build his profile over there

Probably a better fight than the Wilder fight.

    Another fight which wont happen.

HW boxing these days is 99.99% talk about fights that could happen and 0.01% about fights that are actually happening.
