Higher work rate and wins a war of attrition.

 

I just remembered Tony Thompson is in my avi after seeing this.

 

That particular punch was the one Wlad landed on him in their 2nd fight right?? The 1st knockdown?? lol

That was a ROCKET. Also proof of the good chin Thompson had considering he got up from it

 

Yeah that's the one. It was the 2nd knockdown though.

 

I always thought that shot was in Wlad’s top 10 right hands lol

Thompson even had a “WTF WAS I JUST HIT WITH??” Look on his face. lol

 

Thompson could win if he gets out of the first half, he had decent durability and stamina and would make it awkward if he gets to the mid-rounds, but while Lyle is fresh, Thompson would be hittable.

He’s not the fastest or the most fleet of foot.

Also, I guess Lyle could also beat Thompson in a similar way he beat Bugner.

 

Thompson has become kinda underrated nowadays.

 

I'm actually going to do something that I don't even know how I feel about it and take a Thompson win on points, unironically.

I take this comment to be a resounding endorsement for Thompson by KO1.

 

Thompson on points, the more tactical fighter.

 

Lyle's hips are NOT surviving this one.
