Shakur on defense and Ennis on offense Ennis does have fight ending power, a luxury that Shakur does not possess
I made that post when Shakur's last fight was in his extremely dull fight against De Los Santos but he's proven me wrong with his performances with Zepeda and Lopez. My mind has changed about him since. He's clearly better and more proven than Ennis right now even though I enjoy watching Ennis more.
Shakur won every single minute of a fight against a former undisputed 2-weight champion. Until Ennis gets a comparable win, I think Shakur is streets ahead of him. Ennis is not that good defensively and really doesn't have that many good wins for a 29-year-old. I'm definitely not buying the idea that Karen is elite. Boots is definitely more exciting to watch, but Shakur is by far the more skilled, both as an amateur and as a pro.
Boots easy, he's going up to 16p and 168 and winning belts in the near future. Shakur is more defensive with better reflexes he's not more skilled
You will never see boots at 168. ever. and i think its become clearer by now that shakur is the more talented fighter. i dont think boots will be undefeated this time next year. unless he takes the cupcake route.
Ennis is more skilled, and both have elite reflexes. Shakur's strength is IQ and the ability to hit and run/ in and out boxing. Ennis is more old school, willing to throw hands and doesn't care about losing. He will lose with the box he boxes; Shakur can always win on points, and his offence is quite simple, just unbelievably twitchy and instinctive defensively
People only say Shakur because they think skills is exclusively fighting defensively with a good jab.
