agreed but do you think the accidental headbutt played a role?

It was such a clean shot that took him out, so hard to say the headbutt changed things. He may have withstood the shot if he were 230.

    Hold up…I don’t see a headbutt. I was wondering why I didn’t remember that.

How insane does this sound knowing them as pros? Hahaha!

ATG heavyweight stopped by B level middleweight.

That was an absolutely disgraceful 'stoppage'.

That whole Olympics was a sham. Roy Jones doesn't need to remind you.

OK, to me it looks like the punch did most of damage. It would be strange to get knocked out with headgear on from a clash of heads.

yes fair enough. Savon was a brutal puncher and anyone moving towards him, even if they are iron chinned, is asking for trouble.

That being said, i have always wondered if the head clash, albeit with the headgear, made it worse.

But no doubt Tua was buzzed before the head clash.

It reminds me of Hatton and the turnbuckle.

You know a decision is shady when the guy who lost gets overwhelmingly voted to win the Val Barker Award as best boxer in the Olympics, as Roy Jr was.

I don't know about anybody else but my chin got much stouter as I progressed into my 20's. In my teens I could be caught by punches I never saw.and get rocked (luckily I was good at scampering around the ring like a goat on roller-skates.) By 23 or 24 I rarely got more than stung. Granted I was mostly facing club guys but a few of my regulars were much bigger than me.

Andy Ruiz was stopped by Hunter I believe.

Larry Holmes was stopped twice in amateurs but only once as a pro against prime Tyson.
