My vote is for Steady Eddy to take over Matchroom Australian operations.

 

Eddie Hearn overestimated the popularity of boxing over here.
I was at the Kambosos Wyllie fight and it was not really a big enough fight for the Quodos Bank Arena he really should've had it at the Hordern Pavillion. I think after seeing Kambosos Haney that he thought George was a household name over here. Someone should've told Eddie that in Australia unless your last name is Tszyu or you are a former NRL player nobody cares

 

Qudos is ridiculous. A boxing promoter filling Horden is no small task either. Especially without Foxtel and news corp pumping the event up for you.

 

Eddie made the fatal mistake of thinking he would find the next Danny Santiago.

 

Unfortunate but true, however I can't see George Burgess filling a phone box.

 

It will be a while before they find the next cross over NRL star with the drawing power of Gallen or SBW they will keep sticking big Nelson on under cards against other non experienced footy players to try and build him up.

 

I'm a long term St George tragic and thought Lomax might have to do some boxing, depends on how the Eels go in court, but I wouldn't mind seeing his chin tested.

 

I am a long term Dragons fan to mate. I see Lomax fancies himself as a combat sports guy I wouldn't mind seeing him have a go.

 

Isaac Kali Meehan vs Joseph Saumoa Tufuga in Auckland, New Zealand on March 7th.
