Fat Camp Fury vs the Neck Twitcher.

Its a good choice of opponent for Fury as he embarks on winning a ton of weight to be fit enough to fight at a higher level. The Neck Twitcher will play right into Fury's style.

Are we not allowed tongue and cheek comments to make fun of Fury's habit of fighting bums? Seferi, Ngannou, Schwartz, Wallin, Chisora III, and now Makhmudov?
So many garbage fights for a guy people used to claim was the H2H ATG. Those were funny times.

Makhmudov adds more than tiny CW Seferi (who did he beat? He lost to Charr, Lerena by KO3, that Danish guy Gassiev KO'd, also by KO3), who would have been KO'd by Mak in 1-2 rounds. Mak's a more dangerous opponent than Hammer or Kevin and fine given Fury's coming off back to back losses, and not having fought since late 2024.

Makhmudov is a good opponent for a comeback after more than a year of inactivity, following two losses. I think Fury, if he takes the fight seriously, should clearly win. After that, we'll start talking about the next opponent. The latest rumors point to Wardley, which could be the case, but I think the first option for The Gypsy King is Joshua.

He needs a clear win over Mak, a step up win, maybe Joshua or Parker, then a #1 contender before he earns a title shot. Is he really going to do that at his age and fighting frequency?

    Likewise...

    I wasn't expecting a proper international journeyman.

It should be straightforward enough, but he could easily have gone after someone much worse.

Good comeback fight. Glad Makhmudov is getting some money fights now.

Wallin and Chisora were at least gatekeepers... Even if Chisora had been beaten by Fury twice already, he's a completely different level to guys like Schwartz, Pianeta, Makh, etc.

And Ngannou was just ridiculous - a great physical specimen to be sure, but struggling with a 0-0 novice is a very bad look when such huge claims are being made.

Quite happy with this as a comeback fight. Mak is slow and limited but at least can punch a bit and is scary looking.

I wonder how much Fury will wind up Mak in the build up - that can be fun sometimes.

Should be a routine UD / late stoppage for Fury but it's ok. And i've got Netflix anyway so will definitely watch.

This is a tougher fight than people think but I think Fury wins.

That would be funny. I just don't think Makhmudov has the footwork or hand speed to give Fury any real issues.

Fury's resume doesn't exactly scream "ATG" if that's the angle you're going for....
