Wardley's manager gives Usyk a new nickname

I don't know. I don't care what Usyk thinks or feels about it.
It's irrelevant what a champion thinks, or how confident or not he is 'hypothetically' - he's expected to give the best contenders a shot at the title, just like he was given a shot at the title !

I mean, what are you saying? Should Kabayel and Wardley receive notices saying "Usyk is a great champion, and he's not scared of you, , he knows he can beat you, so you're not getting a shot. Bye" ?

 

Yet when Fury tried doing the same thing people rubbished him, and rightfully so. What irritates me is this sudden acceptance for Usyk to do the same thing. The division is in shambles because people who have earned their mandatory spots aren't getting their title shots because Usyk isn't fighting them.

If he wants to make money fights then go ahead, but drop the rest of the belts so the division can move on. I'm not interested in further inflating the bank balances of people who are worth 8-9 figures already, I want to see the best fight the best.

At what point is enough going to be enough?

 

Except it's not the first time in his career, and even if it were it wouldn't be an issue if he didn't wait 1 year between fights.

He's holding up the division like Fury did when he decided to chase easy money fights with Chisora and Ngannou.

 

The man's country is destroyed in the war, and he's on the verge of retirement, he's 40. He needs to make as much money as possible in his last 2 fights.

Let's compare:

• Wardley + Kabayel fights = $50M paycheck ($25M per fight, since Wardley and Kabayel are not famous and Turki is not sponsoring)
• Wilder + Winner of Fury vs AJ = $200M ($100M per fight, Wilder is American (the richest country in the world) and Turki will back the 3rd Fury/AJ fight)

2. I don't care. Usyk has already made tens of millions of dollars, if he was that interest in making more money nothing is stopping him from fighting 4 times a year.

This is boxing. I don't want to see cherry picking so select people can become billionaires, I want to see the best fight the best.

Why Wilder? Why not Jake Paul? Or Canelo? Crawford even ?
Mike Tyson is probably still the real American money fight. Him or Mayweather. Way better than Wilder, who never generated the really huge money.

You're claiming Kabayel and Wardley are better then Usyk. Then let them fight each other, and you will see the best fighting the best.

 

No, I'm claiming he should be fighting them as they are his mandatories rather than skiving off to cherry pick a past it Wilder.

I expect Usyk to outbox both. But he's the champion, he should be defending his belts against those who have risen through the ranks as challengers.

This is dumb. Fury and Joshua were the two best heavies post Wlad. Usyk came along and beat them both twice, and beat Dubois, the coming man at the time, twice. His record is stellar.

 

He hasn't fought anyone since Dubois, to re-unify the belts. So...

 

His team have said that they are looking at Kabayel after seeing how big Germany was. So who is saying that it wouldn't sell?
