People are claiming fantasy numbers to justify duckings it seems . Yes , his country is destroyed in this war but that does not mean he is fighting for it . He plays soccer .

Wardley has zero chance against Usyk - see his fight against Huni. This is not a duck, the fight just makes no sense for Usyk who has a handful of fights remaining.

Yes i do . He has incredible boxing skills and was great at CW . I have deepest respect to this .

But what he does now is trying to glue himself on the champions table without defending this position against the best competitors . He dethrones himself with

Yet I've seen you praise Wilder despite his reign being full of easy fights?

    Odd logic

Well , lets not forget wilder has 49 fights at heavy and usyk 8 . Lets not forget wilder has faced ( i believe ) 43 guys at heavy and usyk 5 . I give wilder some respect for this volume even when he indeed cherrypicked whenever possible .

43 fights in a division that he has only ever fought in

30 odd tune up fights to begin with

Who was wilder fighting in his 8th HW fight?

What you are criticising him for is exactly what Wilder did

    Your incredibly inconsistent

Funny nickname, I wish Usyk would fight Wardley next but I feel Usyk is entitled to choose an opponent and take a voluntary fight

    1) Wardley outside of a punchers chance is not really a threat
    2) Wardley vs Parker II I feel should be made due to the controversy surrounding the stoppage
    3) Usyk has beaten the cream of the division already and at his age is entitled to a farewell or voluntary type fight
    4) Why not have Wardley and Kabayel fight to establish a true #1 contender

Usyk has always been entitled to a 'voluntary' or 'easy' defence.
The problem is, he has reduced himself to "1 fight per year", so it can be argued that he forfeits that entitlement. He's also had 50% rematches in his last 6 fights. So it would be good to see him defend against someone new, 'prime' and undefeated is a bonus.

Yes, Wardley v Kabayel makes sense to establish a "#1 contender" for Usyk. And if Usyk decides he doesn't want to fight the winner and fights an unranked or washed-up bum instead, people will regard the Wardley-Kabyael winner as the real champion, inevitably.

He already had a voluntary fight in the Dubois II match.

true, Dubois was also largely seen as the #1 contender or at least 1A or 1B with Parker

I don't like the inactivity for sure, I do think he has earned an easy defense. I do agree that if he doesn't face the next up in line after that, my stance will shift more critical of Usyk who I am giving some latitude to

I guess my point is that I feel Usyk has fought the top guys and consistently faced tough opposition. I am ok with a easy fight like Wilder or Ruiz if he turns around and faces a Wardley or Kabayel type next. Ideally, Wardley and Kabayel would fight in the meantime to solidify a challenge.
