I think they wpuld have to either be his size/bigger, or if smaller, rely on quick turns to keep him from getting set while staying close (ala Loma… and I can’t think of a heavyweight who has fought like that, really…the heavy inside fighters usually rely more on upper body movement)

Foreman was very good at controlling people with his own weight and arms (one of the very best), so the feet would have to be moving if they couldn’t hang with his physicality IMO.

Strong enough to handle Foreman's pushing and pulling tactics, quick enough to land counters and beat him to the punch.
Ali did it. But he wasn't an inside fighter.
Bowe at his best possibly could, but he got hit cleanly to much in my opinion.
Sonny Liston could be the answer.

Sonny had almost no inside game.

I don't know who you were watching , but Liston was a complete fighter, with a dominating inside game and strong enough to keep Foreman honest, and on his back foot.
That's not according to me but was said by Foreman himself.

Coming to George Foreman and trying to fight inside is suicide.

Slip his slow-ass hooks and be fast on the counter. Keep the elbows down a la Golovkin because Foreman could go hard to the body. Mix up the punches to keep him guessing and have decent head movement because Foreman had a good uppercut. Preferably the same size or bigger. I don't like the idea of a little guy going toe to toe with GF.

Said by the same person who thinks Usyk has no head movement. Clearly you have a great eye on catching things no one else can.

I know, every Liston fan keeps repeating the same points.

Liston could not fight well on the inside. He did his work at long range behind his huge reach and stiff jab, which is also how he kept a 19 year old, amateur Foreman honest. He struggled mightily with an ordinary Marty Marshall on the inside, who straight up said Liston was rather simplistic.

Chagaev would have out-clevered him from close range.

Evander all day. A brutal fight while it lasts but Holyfield has too much chin, too much heart and too much godamn stubbornness for Young George. He could fight inside and knew how to negate the other man's inside ability. He was a nuanced, balanced inside fighter not a brawler and I can't think of many fighters hearts he wouldn't have broken...
