It's the kind of thing that's never really got good press Wilder is probably the most high profile boxer to have said it in recent years Plus the way social media is these days, more eyes on it More people talking about it for clicks etc
The thought of Mike Tyson eating Lennox Lewis' kids was still pretty shocking though! "When he said he’s going to eat my kids my mum said: ‘What’s he talking about? You don’t have no kids.’"
Cocaine is a hell of a drug lol That clip alone gets crazy views now Imagine how it would have blown up if Socials were around
Like I said, I’m not privy to all messages and their context, neither am I interested in them. It’s gossip. Apologies for entertaining your pointless question.
Boxers say similar things now, but only wilder gets highlighted…it’s hypocrisy. I agree society is sensitive now, but it’s these same people who try to turn the sport into a fanny game. These types of comments, and worse are fairly common in boxing history and present. But why just pick up on wilder?
Yes, it’s not evidence based and just taken in a vacuum. It’s pointless as it means nothing what ppl are (if they are even) texting one another when **** talking. Why I said to ignore the soap opera side, which I understand is hard to do with whyte as it’s his main attribute…YouTube moaning about how he’s better than everyone then got found to be a joke by fury.
See, I don't agree I think it actually unintentionally gives us an insight as to why he avoided the fight In my defence, alot of boxing fans agreed
fair enough, that’s your take. I tend to not take unevidenced gossip and circumstantial information as concrete evidence. Especially coming from a non credible witness (Whyte) who asserted many things that were not true. Some ppl believe tabloid nonsense, others don’t. It’s the way of the world.
Nobody has any reason to fight Ortiz as he's unranked and beyond shot. You don't get to accuse top guys of ducking him given his irrelevance.
It's not tabloids here though I haven't read a tabloid in at least 15 years Finkel posted a pretty good take on the situation a few posts back where Whyte threatened legal action and the WBC changed things around again I've also never at any point claimed anything here as concrete evidence See I like to try and be balanced and read in to boxing news and opinons whilst also taking in to consideration the rules and regulations of an organisation No offence intended but @BubblesUK (sorry lol) and youyourself appear to be opposite ends of that medium Bubbles has his own ranking system and you tend to favour what an organisation says and does (even if questionable) Makes intresting debate all round
Agreed. My take is fairly basic, an apparent text to someone doesn’t prove anything. Especially these days with many fighters, managers and promoters talking publicly about negotiations…I only take it as unprofessional pr and propaganda…the serious businessmen do it where it matters. regarding tabloid, I meant the boxing news and opinion you refer to is exactly that. Headlines and articles to generate views.
I didn't bring up the text message from Wilder. We don't necessarily know the full context. So it is gossip unless Whyte was to publish it (may do when his career is done). If it helps there is footage of him showing it to Ak and Bahrak in their sit down interview on DAZN. Corrected that for you. Now that isn't gossip. There are receipts for all of that. It's why Wilder fans argue based purely on emotion and false narratives when it comes to Whyte, because there aren't any receipts to back up how they feel about Whyte. There is no actual argument to be had about whether or not Wilder ducked Whyte. It happened. What you wrote was a logical take on why it might have happened, though
