Ali lights up Kid Dynamite in an explosive fight. Too fast, too mobile, too accurate. Mikey has some succeses early but is comprehensively outboxed in a lop sided points win....

Prime Tyson was not a pure swarmer. He was a mix between a counter puncher and a swarmer, who posseded incredible skill, speed and power. Out of all this, his ability to dodge punches and rarely get tagged clean was his greatest asset. That is what he lost after he fired Rooney.

    What a well-reasoned, thought-out and articulated retort.

Go watch Tyson against James Douglas and get back with me. I’ll be here.

It's irrelevant. Tyson was not properly prepared for that fight due to turmoils in his personal life.

Tyson ranks No. 1 P4P on my all-time Excuses-Weight Champions list for sure. He gets an asterisk for every loss in my book.

But you know what ATGs don’t need? Excuses. Winners make adjustments, losers make excuses — it has always been so in sport.

The excuse-making is cover for a weak mind — yeah, a guy getting cut or breaking a hand or being years past prime might have a legitimate explanation for a loss … ‘Me not at my best because reasons’ is just weak-mindedness.

Ali would exploit Mike’s balsa-wood fragile psyche and create all kinds of inner turmoil. And Mike would fold like a pup tent like we saw against Mr Douglas and Mr Holyfield and even against club fighters late in his first career.

Truth is, Ali of Berbick is 1000 times better than Tyson of Paul. Must have hurt to see your idol clowned by a social media influencer.

    Those are facts not excuses.
And it did not hurt at all. Tyson simply took a dive for a paycheck.
