Why are people talking like Shakur is better than Loma?

I don’t think so. Shakur appears to be carrying 12 or 13% body fat at 140. He looks maxed out.

 

Shakur is massive, dude is same height as Ennis. Of course Ennis has a wider frame but Shakur is going to end his career at 147-154

 

He isn’t massive. I’ve seen him in person. Teo is bigger.

 

Shakur is a small 140lber. He wasn't even that big for 135. The idea that him and Teo are both weight-bullies or that they're the same size is absolutely ridiculous. You could see the difference in size on the scales, Teo is broader and filled out into the weight and Shakur came in at 138. Shakur was complaining about not being able to get his weight back up after the De Los Santos weigh-in, and fought at 123 in the amateurs. These guys are professionals and they cut weight like every professional does. Don't hold everybody to the standard set by Pacquiao and Mayweather because those two are some of the best to ever, ever do it. And don't compare them to Lomachenko either because it was Loma's fault that he was unwilling to cut even just 15lbs like practically every fighter in the sport does.

 

Then don't complain when he's struggles and loses to guys that are bigger than him. We all know about the weight and how fighters can manipulate it. Whether you love the system or hate it is irrelevant. Loma went into those fights knowinglingly and purpose driven. So stop!

 

I don't think I am complaining about him losing to bigger guys but about skewed comparisons between him and others that clearly never took those challenges, but are treated as if they did.

Loma is way underrated because of exactly that when he should be in a very small set of fighters.

This is not true. There was a hell of a lot of people on here specifically who thought Valdez was going to stop him.

There was also alot of people saying Shakur Zepeda was 50/50 until it played out and it just wasnt.

 

Loma ain’t had a fight since ‘73 mayne!
