Bakhram Sait-Khamzatovich Murtazaliev vs. Joshua Kelly & Josh Padley vs. Jaouad Belmehdi RBR.

Kelly's performance flattered by Bakhram's poor inability to deal with someone who's slick.

I dont care who won it tbh. I dont mind the movement and pot shot from range but you have to be more active with your punches, and you cant just grab and cuddle every time the opponent gets in range. Shame on Bak for accepting the clinch too.

 

If you want to beat the Russians, you send in the Brits, the ultimate fighting men!

 

Do kindly p!ss off. Kelly fought a good fight and I was sincerely hoping that Murtazaliev would crush Kelly. I don't even like Kelly. Murtazaliev let me down here but I'm not bitching about it and I'm not writing snarky comments.

 

The ref killed the momentum that round stopping the action. He even called timeout but the timekeeper left the clock running. My neighbors probably think I'm a schizo, yelling about **** they've never heard of.

 

I was totally wrong about Kelly; I really didn't think he would have the skills to stay with Bakhram for 12 rounds. Bakhram lost it more than Kelly won it, though. No plan B, one-dimensional barrelling forward, getting caught with eye-catching shots all night, he completely underrated Kelly, but then again, so did I. Can't argue with Kelly by a point or two there.

Bakhram put Kelly down with a shot that wasn't even that heavy, and, in hindsight, he should have gone for broke; he would have gotten him out of there. Kelly gets eaten alive by Boots or Ortiz, though.

Let's face it, Bakhram was horrendous, basked in that Tsyzu KO boogeyman status for over a year, and was humbled by the sport, very rusty and tactically horrendous. Fair play to Booth and Kelly, though, I had my eye wiped once again; that's why I'm sat on boxing forums, and these fellas do it as their actual job.

 

The movement, angles and footwork coupled with expert timing of the fists, simply sublime. Lomachenkoesque. JK

 

That's why I was thinking Kelly would get the nod, as regardless of Bak's work, Kelly was giving the impression that he was comfortable, showboating and getting the odd solid counter and quick flashy shot in to keep that narrative. Bak on the other hand showed obvious frustration, and didn't really change much up or show any urgency - which I was surprised at giving he was i the UK.

 

Mayweather made a career out of it when he went uo yhe weights and his hands started failung him. I had Maidana winning their 1st fight. Its all highky subjective but, I thought PBK boxed superb for 8-9 rnds and hung in there when he had to.

 

Which would indicate a draw then. That's not a robbery. I've seen robberies, that wasn't. Kellys style isn't for me though.

 

Close fight could've gone either way. Kelly landing the better shots but being much less active. Not a robbery

 

Ring rust caught up to Bakram but that's his own fault for not staying sharp and honing his skills

Josh fought negative and I don't think he will be champion for long. He should ride this wave of confidence and have some easy defences and make some big money before facing the likes of Boots, Ortiz, Madrimov etc
